I had to write a review on this best high quality devil's food cake mix. Delicious with the best texture and taste. My family loves Duncan Hines and this is one of the best brands. It is versatile and can be made with many delicious recipes. I made a cola one time with this exact brand. The texture is great no matter how you use it. Great value for the money to. Best

comparable to homemade cakes
My kids begged me to bake a birthday cake from scratch, but after one failed attempt years ago, I stuck to box mixes- Until i realized how good duncan hines actually is. The devils food mix turned out moist and chocolatey, with a richness that rivals homemade cakes I've had at bakeries.

Great brand
Very good flavor and texture. I add an extra egg and substitute milk for the water for a bakery style cake. Also to frost, I make a box of instant chocolate pudding according to directions, refrigerate. Then fold in 8-oz Cool Whip and frost cake.

Dry n metallic taste
Tried to keep to recommended baking time but was not cooked. Baked longer n it turns out dry. Had a metallic taste too which I guess may be due to excessive baking soda.
