It worked for a day, now laser beam doesn't work, not very impressed

Mine has worked faultlessly with no issues at all. Nothing is perfect, so have you returned it or asked Amazon for assistance rather than just berate it ?

How do you reset after locking it at a tilted angle? Does it mean, you level it manually and then do the locking operation again?

All you do is slide the big red switch forward to its Unlock position, then slide it back to its Lock position. That resets the device, which stays Off until you next use it. D

Is it meant to flash. I cant get it to stop flashing?

It needs to be level - it flashes if it’s pointing up or down. I use mine on a camera tripod to get it to the level I want it.
