Bought for my godson for Christmas and he loved it. Good fun but he was also asking questions and learning at the same time!

Updated review still think it’s very expensive for what you got. We followed the instructions and nothing happened it melted but no form nothing son was disappointed. So I put a bit of warm water in frist and it exploded quicker than thought and went everywhere hence on the photo we had to quickly cleanup. lol only downfall the blue stains hands

Great product to use for mini science experiment (volcano eruptions) and also very sturdy so double up as a toy in small world play.

Please do not waste your money on this product. I paid £20 and it’s not even worth £2.99. The volcano is thin cheap plastic and has a teeny alien in a hollow bath bomb that doesn’t fizz. The box has a ledge in it to make out that the item is as big as the box which isn’t that big to start with. My son was very disappointed, I had to fill it with bubble bath to make it fun. Avoid at all costs, trust me or your child will also be disappointed

The volcano is made of thick plastic, colours are vivid and it is a playable piece of toy. My 3 yo son loves to make experiments with it as well as adding it to his games with other toys. However it is really too expensive. It comes with 1 A4 experiment sheet, and 1 monsters list sheet, 1 bath bomb with a monster inside. The bath bomb doesn't fizz at all and the monster that comes with it is as big as a lego dog minifigure, easily forgettable. The right price should be around £7.00/8.00, and I am generous. I have tried this one as I thought it would be fun to rescue the little monster trapped inside a fizzing ball. Nope. I mean it is fun for your little guy, but you won't get that WOW from them. luckily I bought extra equipment at the same time like 1 science kit (with pipettes, beakers, etc..) food colourings, baking soda, white vinegar, citric acid and we actually made an astonishing bubbling and colourful volcano explosion. And that's where I got a real excited WOW expression from my kid. I do not recommend this toy, unless you need a decent volcano plastic base, but you may want to look for a cheaper one.

Lovely toy. Good quality but smaller than expected. It came with an egg and additional ones can be purchased separately.

My son wants to go these all the time and absolutely loves beaker creatures! The volcano is great fun and has also been used for other experiments too.

My little one loves volcanoes, so this was the perfect toy - and there’s no complicated chemicals to mix. All you need is water to activate the dissolving egg inside the volcano, which gives you fizzy red lava and reveals a little toy. Some notes of caution, it will make a mess, so place it in a container or on a towel. We used a plastic shoe box. Also, kids will want to play with the red liquid, which is fine, but it will stain clothes and turn their finger orange. Hands can easily be cleaned with some soap and water.

Mein Sohn war echt enttäuscht. Für den Preis hatte ich auch mehr erwartet. Erstens war es nicht mal rot, sollte Lava ja sein. 2. kam fast keine Reaktion. Auf dem Foto sieht man was passiert. Nämlich nichts, außer dass sich das Ei aufgelöst hat.
