2024 UPDATE: It's STILL working, fabulously...nearly 7 yrs. after purchase! NONE of my Keurig's ever lasted this long! 2022 UPDATE: My Davinci I Coffee is STILL WORKING LIKE NEW AFTER 5+ YEARS!!! Bought in June 2017. Still working like a champ in August 2022! I know they're discontinued, but if you're lucky enough to find a used one, BUY IT, clean it and enjoy it! I'll never go back to Keurig after their GREEDY push to force consumers to ONLY use their branded k-cups with their 2.0 fiasco!!! Woo Hoo! Ordered the I-Coffee RSS300 on the 4th-5th and it arrived at my front door on the 7th! It's easy to use, takes ALL brands of K-cups, can use my tallest cups, makes 4, 6, 8,10 & 12 oz cups, has a 55 oz reservoir, auto shut off, has a cool blue light on the cup while brewing and takes less counter space...all for $72! The comparable Kuerig was $499 (and new Kuerigs ONLY allow you to use Kuerig brand K-cups now)!!! Downside= coffee not as hot as the Kuerig, but for the $400+ difference, I can use the microwave if it cools too quickly. I did purchase the protection plan, just in case, since some people are reporting their ICoffee coffee maker start acting up after a year or so.

Put in service at home Oct 29, 2016. Makes a fine cup of coffee! We make 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day, 7 days a week. The last cup of coffee was made last night about 8:30pm, machine worked fine for 10oz cup. (All cups have been 10 oz). This morning unit heated, ready light came on, pushed brew and the top spun but no water came through. Went through 5 to 6 minute brew cycle with no water coming out. Recycled to heating mode, ready mode but when brew button pushed same result no water. This unit has been cleaned weekly and the water needles cleaned as per manufactures video. Still no brewing. This unit would have gotten 4 stars if it lasted a year, but not even 3 months out of the box was like renting a coffee maker at $40 a month! Would not recommend this machine. Should be 1/2 of 1 star and I should have kept the box! Shame on me!

Yes, it's a very good machine - but if you use ground coffee beans read on. We've been using the Davinci for about 6 months and it works fine, no problems. However, I like strong coffee and don't want to contribute to the environmental waste with disposable K-cups. (I do recycle the grounds and the plastic cups but it is still a needless waste.) Unfortunately using the reusable filter resulted in weak coffee and considerable grounds in my cup. I tried paper filters recommended by the company but that resulted in even weaker coffee. Finally I realized that I was using a coffee grind that was too fine. So one day I went to my local/national coffee provisioner and asked for French Roast to be ground at the same level as the company's K-cup version. And lo, with a bit a taping down to increase both the quantity and density of the grounds in the reusable filter, I was able to get a very good cup of strong coffee. I have gone so far as to ensure that I use as much or a bit more of the ground coffee as the amount in the company's K-Cup. I try to pack 8 or 9 grams into the reusable filter. But I also make sure that the isn't too full or too tightly packed. There are still some grounds but considerably less than with my original fine grained beans. So now I am a very happy user of iCoffee's Davinci.

This machine is AMAZING. It is quiet, sleek, totally cool with blue lights over your cup as the coffee brews. It is indeed a smoother cup of coffee than Keurig. I would never buy another Keurig again now that they have changed their machines to only accept Keurig over priced K-cups. Further, Keurig is noisy whereas this machine is silent. I also like that no matter what size you brew, the coffee tastes great - unlike Keurig. If you went over 8 oz. the coffee was weak and gross. I would give this coffee maker 10 stars if I could. The ONLY issue was the taste of plastic when we first brewed. I decided to "descale" with white vinegar (1/3 of resevoir in white vinegar and the rest water - brew until empty - let stand for 2 hours - then brew an entire resevoir of clean water) and this fixed the problem. Save yourselves some trouble when this arrives (and you SHOULD buy it) and just do the descale I described above. Your coffee will be fabulous!

10 Month Update It's been a little over 10 months since I purchased this machine, and I'm happy to say nothing's changed. It still works as designed and still makes a terrific cup of coffee. Stay tuned for further updates. >>> Original Review We have had a Keurig B145 OfficePRO at home since March 2012. The first one lasted a bit over a year and a half before the rotary switch failed, not allowing us to brew a 6 ounce cup. We replaced it with the exact same model in November 2013. We were pleased to note it was quieter with less vibration than the previous model. Well, two years and three months later the pump is starting to sound really loud and vibrate the machine. Rather than wait till the Keurig failed we decided to replace it and use it as a backup, if needed. After a lot of research and reading lots of reviews, we settled on this iCoffee da Vinci. At the time of purchase it was $20 less than a replacement B145. We had never heard of this brand before, but after reading the 90+ reviews for this model plus another 90+ reviews for the similar but slightly upscale Mozart model, plus all the questions and answers, we decided to pull the string for this one. The positive comments about customer service help swing this deal. Initial Impressions Though we've only had a few days I decided to write an initial review, comparing this to my nearly defunct the B145. We had gotten used to the near instant gratification from the Keurig, and were hoping this machine would provide that. I'm happy to say that it does. I may do a direct side-by-side comparison in the future, but I did not do one yet. Like the Keurig, the water reservoir removes easily to refill in the sink or can be refilled with it in place simply by lifting the lid on the top. The blue water tank LED flashes when you need to add water. The aesthetics are pleasing, with the blue LED lighting in the water tank and the blue LED that lights up while your cup is brewing. Compared to the Keurig unit this machine is dead silent. The only sound you hear our brief "almost boiling" sound as the water reaches temperature, and the water/coffee filling your cup. Though the company says the water temperature was supposed to be 200°, my Thermapen measured 182° in the stream coming out without a K cup installed. With the unit (and by extension the water) at room temperature it took 2 minutes and 12 seconds for the "Ready" light to illuminate. The controls are stupid simple to operate. The initial cup from this machine was hot water to make tea from a teabag. It brewed up perfectly, with no plastic aromas or flavors, or any other "off" smells or flavors. Now to try it with coffee: A 10 ounce K cup (Green Mountain Double Diamond) brewed in 1 minute and 14 seconds. We were able to brew two 10 ounce cups before it reheated the reservoir. That reheating took only 15 seconds. The resulting cups were excellent, at least every bit as good as the Keurig made. Brewing a specialty brand (Mystic Monk) in a mesh style capsule brewed in approximately the same length of time, with equally good results. Nits to Pick The green "Ready" light is annoyingly bright. If you have this on a counter in your kitchen this may not be a problem, but ours is on my desk in my office and the light is bright to the point of being distracting. When the Keurig is ready to brew the button lights up blue. When you open the top and insert a capsule, and then close the top, that light flashes blue for one minute and then returns to steady blue. On this machine, when it goes from "heating" to "ready" the light flashes green and continues to flash until you open the top and then close it, and then it will turn steady green. I don't know if it will eventually cease flashing or go off, but after 10 minutes of watching blink brightly out of the corner of my eye I caved and opened the top and closed it to stop the blinking. The Bottom Line Though we haven't had our iCoffee da Vinci long enough to recommend it, initial impressions are very good. It seems well constructed, brews a good cup of coffee, and is dead silent. I will update again after we've had it for a while.

Awesome Company! Awesome Brewer and better taste thank the evil "K" Empire! Right out of the box this Brewer blew away the picky K2.0 that would only work withs it own cups. Taste was bolder and more balanced!... All went perfect until last night! It stopped working!!! My life passed before me... No coffee! What is a working man to do? Should I call off work? After all surely without a great cupper I could not perform proper duties... AH! The toll free support number was my salvation... I stalled and within moments the Brewer was again butting out awesom brew! It appears that on some single serving cups the grind is so fine that in time it can clog the injectors. This is what happened. When I pressed the brew button instead of sucking water from the resovior it was refilling it. So the great customer service guy told me a simple paper clip injected 2" into each of 2 holes in the injector and running the water at 12 ounces two time will clear it out! So I did and POOF! All my darkest problems have slipped away and now my cup of great coffee runnith over with joy! Thanks to iCoffee I got my life back!!!! Hippy!

It's very pretty. Most of these are. Pretty blue lights and a nice cup of coffee, too. For exactly 91 days. Now, it's dead. The cute little spinning stick that stirs your K-cup still longs to stir but, alas, water is no longer being pumped through this very nice-looking machine. In fact, it's making enough annoying noises to earn it's next sleeping place. Adios, iCoffee...we hardly knew ye. Into the garbage. Back to Keurig. Caveat Emptor on this baby. I wanted to wait at least three months before I wrote a review. This is it. UPDATE: Plugged it back in and now it's working again....whoo-hooo....will add a star for now.

Ok ...I almost NEVER write product reviews but this one has aggravated me so much that I need to post what in the heck is WRONG with this product. First off ..I am a coffee devotee and fan of Starbucks quality, deep / bold flavorful ...and ultimately satisfying way to get your morning caffeine intake. I signed up for the $100 Davinci model after reading many of the reviews and even express ordered two additional reusable filter cups from the I-Coffee website. Everything arrived as ordered and I could not wait to try out the new machine. The machine works perfectly and all the blue flashing lights are impressive ...It delivers hot water very quickly and you can see the ' Spin brew' technology working ... Unfortunately ...while the water was indeed hot ...the coffee product was weak and lacked any real flavor ...about what a Mr Coffee machine would deliver at any local hotel room ... Not to be deterred ..I tried several grind levels ...opting to try a COARSE grind from the local market ...It was even weaker ...the I tried a more refined grind ...which delivered a slightly better cup of coffee , but which also produced an excessive amount of coffee grinds in each cup. ( I mean a LOT ...giving it a gross appearance in the cup ...think Copenhagen ) We tried mixing the coffee blends ...NO LUCK ...We tried using PIKE PLACE coffee from Starbucks ...and it still tasted WATERY. Summary - This is an AWFUL waste of your time and money if you are looking for a coffee house strength morning beverage ...The water drives thru the mesh cups so FAST ...it does NOT have time to adequately flavor the water and much of the coffee placed in the cup goes unused ...in fact ..you can go ahead and make 2-3 cups of coffee from one single basket , without noticing a decline in quality of the already watery coffee. My Mom pointed out, that if you choose to add cream to your coffee as she does ; it tastes even weaker. Makes perfect sense ...I drink only the strong black version ...lol ITS THAT BAD. I am kicking myself for buying the two year additional warranty and the extra cups ...I read the reviews and essentially IGNORED the one or two that realistically described this machine. Bottom Line - I am out about $140 bucks on the machine / additional cups and two year warranty ...and we are making coffee on the stove with an old camping percolator ...because this machine cant even compete with Folger's coffee bags and hot water .... Save your money ...AVOID this flawed machine ... In my opinion ...This a FATAL DESIGN flaw in the iCoffee series ...
