This is my fourth year buying the PURPLE LADYBUG Christmas Girls Advent Calendar, and it has become one of my daughters’ absolute favorite holiday traditions. Every single year, this calendar delivers the perfect mix of excitement, creativity, and truly unique, high-quality surprises that keep my girls eager to open each day’s door. What I love most is that the gifts are not repetitive or cheap like many other advent calendars we’ve tried in the past. Each item feels thoughtfully chosen, and there’s so much variety—small crafts, accessories, creative toys, and fun little trinkets that spark imagination and keep them entertained. My daughters always say this one feels like “mini Christmas morning” every day. As a parent, I really appreciate that the items are age-appropriate, safe, and easy to enjoy with light supervision. It’s the perfect blend of independence for the kids and peace of mind for me. Everything is well-made, colorful, and exciting without creating clutter or being tossed aside. The presentation is adorable too—the packaging is festive and well-designed, and the layout makes it super easy for little hands to open each door without tearing the entire box apart. I truly cannot recommend this advent calendar enough. After four years, the consistency in quality has been amazing, and my girls still squeal with excitement when they see it come out each December. If you’re looking for a calendar that adds real holiday magic and offers 24 days of joyful, memorable surprises, this one is absolutely the winner.

This advent calendar has NO competition. Playfully, colorfully presented with quality, vibrant, well-made and thoughtfully curated items for each day that my 10 year old LOVES. All of it colorful, fun and festive! The variety is awesome: turquoise sequined bracelet, red & green manicure set with nail gems, scented markers, ornaments, holiday crafts, a fun animal ring, modeling dough, a bright red sequined hair bow, rainbow scratch pad--plus lots of interative, creative items that tweens adore. Zero "junk" in this, even in the "tiny" slots--which is a feat. We started on Thanksgiving this year as she'll be on a vacation with her dad over Christmas, so she's opened 11 so far. Already well beyond worth the price, half-way through! She's been thrilled with every single one and excitedly looks forward to each new reveal. "Mom, this is the best advent calendar EVER--I can't believe it!" Not a bad item in the bunch. She loves to tell jokes, and each lid has a "punny" holiday joke, with suggestions, info about and/or instructions for each item. (With occasional references to the Parent Guide but already lost that, would be great if there were a PDF online.) Walk, don't run--to order this for your kiddo. (They really should make one for boys, too--it's so good.) An immense amount of thought and care went into this calendar. Hats off and kudos to Purple Ladybug for this incredible product! I don't typically review, but this one was worth it. Great print, fun toys, even had lil jokes on the doors with the answer on the next days. Ive ordered 4 advents and this one was better than the "Mini Brands" one even as far as quality, which I DID NOT expect, looking like a typical Chinese product. But even the English writing on the back made sense to read. Do not hesitate to buy this one, its quality.

Updated: We held strong and got our girls the kits again for 2025 hoping to see some improvement. We were SO happy with the variety of the kit and all the fun crafts, accessories and makeup! Back to the amazing calendar we were used to! :) Older review: We have 2 girls who have gotten this kit each year for years- it’s the highlight of each morning. Sad to see this year that it’s much cheaper and super basic - no lip gloss, makeup, chap sticks, unique crafts etc. Still fun surprises but they don’t need 4 days worth of pens and pencils accessories. They usually have oven shrink projects or unique crafts - this year it was a stack of colored paper and they claimed it was an origami activity which doesn’t fit the targeted age range here…definitely not. Hope 2025 is back to the way the calendar used to be!

My 8 year old daughter has loved this advent calendar. It has a fun variety of gifts that she has enjoyed every day. She actually said she wants the same one next year. My only very minor critique is that there are holiday jokes on the back of the doors (along with a description of the gift which is nice) but none of the jokes make sense! Haha!

We bought several advent calendars and this one was by far the best. Our 8 year old loved it. Quality, usable items. Great price too!

This is a fantastic advent calendar with loads of activities and a leaflet that explains how to do everything. My daughter had fun every day opening it and getting different things to do

I bought this for a 10-year-old girl who is out of the toy stage but still loves cute things, yet skincare calendars would have been a little too boring. I saw so many great reviews and I have to say they are 100% correct. This calendar was so perfect. Every day was something fun and cute and varied. It has truly been a magical experience seeing how exciting she has been to open it every morning and not once was she disappointed. Cute hair accessories to fidget toys. The best calendar for girls on the market. I recommend for girls ages 6-11. For the price point of $60 it is definitely worth it.

Amazing variety of little surprises every day. My 5 years old was thrilled every morning. Highly satisfying finding something different every day. Favourite was the last one-24 th Day surprise:). Lots of toys suitable for fidget little fingers:)
