Wild & Wolf Folklore Enamel Mug

Drinking hot coffee or tea from this cup is not enjoyable. The rim seems to get too warm. The rim has also chipped in some places. I would not recommend putting in the dishwasher even though it says it’s dishwasher safe. It ruins even quicker!!

This has to be one of the most solidly and beautifully built enamel mugs out there. It reminds me of one of my favorite childhood stories--The Mitten. Not the Brett one, but the old Ukrainian/Russian one. The design on the mug is flawless, bright and gorgeous, it looks so amazing that everyone I show it to wants one! I got this one to go in my kit, because I wanted something that reminded me of something good from childhood and that was beautiful to look at the same time. After all, why go just functional when you can get awesome, too? This is so pretty however, I might keep it out just to use it daily. Buy this. Skip those plain ol' enamel mugs and get something far nicer. This is an enamel mug that could easily become a favored heirloom of one of your kids. If they can ever pry it out of your hands. :)

This was purchased as a gift for a friend (along with the "day" counterpart). It seems very well made, all the enamel wasn't chipped when it arrived and there was no image slippage or shadows of the images on the mug. The mug has a really good wide handle, which I think is one of the most important features of a well made mug. Overall I thought this mug looked very nice and the recipient loved it. Highly recommended.

My mug came in perfect condition, slightly smaller than I was expecting. Think small coffee mug. 12oz I think. I haven't had the chance to use it yet but I did accidentally drop it and the mug not only chipped but dented the mug in two spots. The mug feel from waist hight onto a laminate floor.

This little cup is beautiful, but very cheaply made. It arrived with flaking chips on the inside and outside of the mug, with rust already showing. Because the chipped areas inside are flaking, the cup cannot be used for drinking.

I'm so disappointed to be writing a negative review about this mug because the design is so charming, but upon first receiving it I noticed part of it under the lip of the mug did not have enamel making it rough to the touch. We just got back from our first camping trip and it did not hold up at all! These were for my children and were only used for water. Nothing warm was ever in them and they were not dropped, but simply from packing them in our tote with other gear a huge portion of enamel was completely worn away on both of the two mugs. The white one you can begin to see an actual hole on the inside! Yet our other GSI enamel mugs which we have had since the 80's are still in perfect condition. I cannot stress enough how little these were used and how carefully they were packed so this is ridiculous.

I bought this mug for an upcoming camping trip. Despite other reviews, mine has held up great! No issues with the enamel wearing off or any sharp edges as other reviewers have stated. They're a bit smaller than expected, but it's a perfect size for backpacking and camping as it doesn't take up much room. Bottom line, I would buy again.

Good quality, excellent artwork. A bit small for a mug> otherwise a 5 star rating.
