Neat textbook
Great reference book for perinatal, mother/baby, postpartum and or nursery RNs. A must have in your bookshelf. I used this book as well as William's Obstetrics to study for my Certification exam. Both text books are filled with amazing information, I crack open the books every now and then if I want to look more in depth at the patho or dynamics behind a certain process

Great book in helping me pass my certification!
I highly recommend this for all post grads. This book really helped me passed my certification. I do not recommend it for undergrads because it may bore you with the format and you might get overwhelmed with a lot of technical terms.

Good resource for OB or mother baby nurses
When I first purchased this book in 2020, I did not enjoy it all. Mainly because it is very text heavy with small print, few pictures sprinkled throughout and the content is already in summarized bullet format. I ended up taking my exam in 2024 and decided to use this book to supplement another I bought. Some chapters are more geared towards L&D so if you're taking the maternal newborn certification exam you can skip those. I chose to start with chapters that seemed more interesting to help me get used to the format, which definitely helped. After that, the book became easier to use but some chapters were harder to get through because of their length. Overall, I do feel like it was a great resource as it does go over physiology, assessment, interventions and outcomes for each topic. At the the end of each chapter it has a case study and questions. I was able to pass my exam with higher scores than I expected, and I do feel like this book played a part.
