This product is a game-changer for achieving a clean, controlled sound, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Right from the moment I put the FretWraps on my guitar, I noticed a remarkable improvement in string resonance and unwanted noise. What sets the Gruv Gear FretWraps apart is their versatility. Good flexibility, questionable value.
These are great, depending on what you are using them for. If you're looking just for something to dampen behind-the-nut string ring, and like to rest your thumb on the back of the headstock, you may want to consider just using a piece of foam behind the nut or a clip style string mute. The wrap does kinda get in the way of resting your thumb there. The real use case for this product is being able to move it over the nut/onto the first fret to help keep your lead playing clean. That said I do have these on quite a few of my guitars, as the flexibility of doing both jobs is nice. That said the 10-15 dollars they go for does seem a little steep for what is essentially just a bit of cloth and some velcro.

Excellent FretWrap for Cleaner Playing
The Gruv Gear FretWrap is honestly one of the best accessories I’ve used for guitar practice and recording. It mutes unwanted string noise extremely well and makes techniques like tapping, sweep picking, and fast lead playing sound much cleaner. The material feels high quality, comfortable, and easy to adjust. If you want a more professional and controlled sound while playing, I totally recommend this FretWrap.

Essential guitar tool for extended range and gain enthusiasts
Regardless of genre I feel every guitar player needs one of these bad boys up on the neck. Bought this for my 8-string to help clean up the sound and have loved how simply and effectively this lil guy did as was advertised! The unit fits easily around the neck, just wrap and fasten. If you run a high gain channel or generally deal with unwanted string noise this should sort things out quickly. I’ve had my wrap for a few years, and while it’s worked wonders to now it’s starting to loose tension and probably needs to be replaced. These units are cheap though and sound MUCH better than common alternatives (hair band, bandana, etc). If you’re trying to troubleshoot how to clean up your sound this is a great start. Inexpensive and worth so much more in how effortlessly these guys clean up dirty tone.

Durable
My last one lasted 6 years before the Velcro failed. Always taking it off and back on. Great quality.

Handy accessory
I primarily only play guitar in my studio for media-geared music, so my parts need to be very accurate, with as little extra noise as possible. I found with my sloppy playing, strings are ringing out by association (nearness/resonance of the body, etc.), and sometimes I can't stop them easily without screwing up my parts more. You may be surprised how many seasoned guitarists this happens to, on smaller scales no less. I had an extremely technically-minded guitarist record for me and it was a very delicate part, but occasionally a string would ring out very subtly. You wouldn't notice this live, or even just in general recording situations, but when you're editing audio and listening intently, you'll hear it. These 100% fixed that issue for me. Now, some pros and cons: Pros: Stops string ring Straight forward design Quality seems good Looks better than your wife/g-f's hair scrunchy Cons: When you slide it back over the nut to hit an open string, it always seems to catch on the nut. I suspect this will eventually unravel the stitching. CAREFUL - If you crank this puppy down, it will make your string slightly sharp. I put it on my first fret and tightened it well, recorded my parts well and then started adding VI piano. The intonation was slightly off. I checked my guitar and intonation - perfect. I cranked the Fretwrap back on the first fret and checked my notes. They were now slightly sharp. So, beware!
