Western Chief Waterproof Mid Rain Boot

My wife and I live on the outskirts of a very small town. We have about a dozen chickens at any given time. For many years most of the responsibility for the care of the little flock fell to me. About a year ago or so I had some health problems that were serious enough to put me on the sidelines for a while and she had to step up and into the role of caretaker of the little flock. I purchased these for her for protection from the snow and mud. Not to mention the fertilizer that the chickens make for us. They fit perfect and are lined inside and are waterproof as well. The quality is good. The style is great 👍. She says that they are comfortable but we should have got them 1/2 size larger. The only problem is that they aren't available in a 1/2 size larger. If you order them, I would suggest that you order them one full size larger. A little bit pricey? Even so I am sure I would still purchase them again. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

As someone who spends most of fall out on muddy trails, I needed boots that would keep my feet dry and be able to withstand the muck. These boots are very comfortable, easy to take on and off, and have kept my feet dry and clean. The insoles are padded, which is great. There is some lining but I still wear thicker socks with them to keep my feet warm. They’ve handed the mud and puddles quite well though they can still be a bit slippery in extremely muddy conditions. Overall I’m quite happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

For us big calf girls these boots are the best. I tried a couple of cheaper boots and had to return them. I like saving money but with these boots the shaft is shorter and wider, which makes them easier to put on and easier to get off when your feet are sweaty. I use them as garden boots in the summer. 10 Stars!!!

So comfortable! I typically wear a size 8.5, but I ordered a 9 (...I have big calves so I wanted extra room just in case)! They fit soo well, and my calves feel small in them (never happens)! They slide on easily, and I honestly could have stuck with an 8.5. But come winter, I'll be wearing thicker socks so it will be just perfect. I know it's summer right now, but I will try to come back to review how they hold up in the rainy weather. So far they are so cute, seemingly well made, and comfortable.

UPDATE: This last pair didn't make through even a year before they split. Same wear and tear as others took for 3 to 4 years... As with the other two pair. I love them! I wear an 8 1/2, I aways buy size 9s and they fit fine. Not too tight. Plenty of room for socks. The light lining keeps my legs dry. I add insoles which I can switch out as these are used solely for gardening. They get a lot of wear daily and last a long time.

I love the look, they seem to be made sturdy, they are comfortable to wear. They fit as expected, I normally wear a 5.5 but the boot is not a sloppy fit. I can wear a thick sock in them.

I am a size 6.5 in heels and 7 in runners but bought a 6 in these boots. They are snug but not uncomfortable and I can wear a pair of normal socks without an issue. There isn't even any heel raise when walking so I am incredibly pleased, since I can walk farther if I want to without needing to clunk my way home in a hurry. Might be my best buy of the year. I originally wanted a rain type shoe just for walking the dog in the morning on wet grass, but these are perfect. They are not too tall, easily tuck my jeans inside and I can see myself wearing them even on gross slushy wintery type days with snowpants! Edited to add: I've now owned these over a year. They have held up incredibly well. I have found though that the liner is very thin, so I don't often wear the boots on snowy days as my feet get rather cold with regular socks. They really are meant for rain or around the freezing temperature mark.

The only problem is the boots are sized to fit extra large. I will try an insole and thick socks to see if I can make them work since the price was right!
