I not only want the instruction in writing but great pictures of that instruction will further aid in that instruction. If you are just starting in the game of archery this is a great book to consider. The authors know their stuff and how to relate it to the novice. I know that I will continue to refer to this book over and over again. Review: Great book for the beginning archer - This is a great book for the beginning archer, for many of us archery began as a self taught enterprise. Our learning was through videos and books and this book was very helpful in getting those first steps to consistent shot groups going. This is not the last book you will need and there is nothing like some time spent with a coach but it is a great place to start to enjoy the zen and art of flinging arrows and oh yeah......the frustration!!

Excellent!!
Bought this to improve shooting with a recurve bow. Recently added a compound bow and still find this book very helpful. Well done!

Great For Beginners
I just started with archery. This is a great book for beginners that cover all the basics. It is written in terms you can understand.

In-depth look into the sport.
This book is much too detailed for a non-nerdy 10-year old and I saved it for later because it might put him off archery altogether.

Straight to the point and easy to comprehend
Straight to the point and easy to comprehend. Excellent illustrations to drive home the teaching. Great book for someone with prior archery knowledge, but even better for someone who has never touched a bow.

I really enjoyed this book from cover to cover. As a new archer it had many hints and tips on how to take my personal archery to a new level as I moved into owning my first bow. I skipped through a few passages on hunting as I'm specifically into target archery, but nevertheless the book was a good clear and concise read all the way through. As this book was recommended to me by my instructor, I'd also recommend the book to any beginner level archer.

The book is fairly good for someone new to archery like me, I can relate to it while practicing the same and basis inputs from my coach. However, please don't buy the kindle edition as all the features are not activated

I'm a real noob to archery, but enjoying it a lot, and wanted to find a good preliminary guidebook. This book starts from first principles and provides very thorough explanations. The authors' writing is clear and comprehensive. The book covers a wide range of different archery activities. The book would have been improved by more and better pictures and diagrams. It is also like a textbook full of exercises and scoring methods, and I skipped over some of these while reading it. But I'm sure I'll use this book as a good reference later on.

Bought this to replace the previous edition I bought when I started shooting. This one is already getting well read, the new information, better illustrations and photos all help you in working out where you are not quite doing it the way you should, and what you should be doing.
