Had to laugh after reading criticisms that this product's panes are glass and not plastic. The manufacturer now (or maybe always has) included an explanation of why the soldering of the panes makes them sound like plastic when they are not -- and even sends along a sample of the glass with the comment, "Feel free to try to melt this." The fact is that even if the panes were plastic, this is a very nice light for the money. It is well made and, as others have noted, really well packaged. Installation of any hanging light can be a chore, but this was as easy as any and the result is lovely. And not plastic.

I put this lamp over my dining table in my dining area. It has a very classy look. I'm happy with it. It came so well packed, very well insulated and all intact and safe. All the necessary chain and hardware were there, which can often be an issue with lamps. I'm happy I have it.

I had this light installed, so I cannot comment on ease of installing or assembly, but it is a beautiful, great quality light fixture. I put it in the dining room. The room was too dark. The colored glass, of course, keeps light from shining upward, and that's what I needed. I had it removed, but kept it because I hope to find a place to use it in the future. I like it that much!

I purchase three of these fixtures, each for a different room. All arrived in perfect condition. They were packed quite securely. They are beautiful. I thought it might be too large for the smallest room - approximately 8' x 13' - however it was perfect for that location. I do feel that the light is inadequate for the largest room - 11' 6" x 16'. However this is a personal preference, and also might have been better if hung higher. However, my main goal was to have a fixture which did NOT have to be taken apart every time the bulb needed changing, and it certainly meets that goal. One interesting note: The kit includes a round disc, approximately 5" in diameter, with several holes. Trying to determine the purpose of this part, I checked the instruction sheet to see what it was called. It is called, Metal Piece. I think that deserves an LOL.

My husband had a little trouble installing this lamp, but both he and the lamp survived. It has made our living room much nicer and I'm very happy with my purchase. We live in a beautiful old house, so old wiring was part of the issue with installation, plus we needed to get different lightbulbs, because our old lamp had a lightbulb that hung straight down. The new lamp uses 2 bulbs that are flat against the lampshade. Not a big problem and easily solved. I'm very happy with my purchase and that I have such a helpful husband.

After opening the box, I couldn't believe the quality of the light. It was better than I expected. Since I was going to hang this in a room that did not have an electrical box in the ceiling, I converted it to a swag style fixture by purchasing the kit. I added 2 Edison style bulbs to light (bulbs are not included) and it is easily the best fixture in the house. Only downside is I now need an Alexa dimmer control. Can't think of everything.

The lighting fixture is VERY ATTRACTIVE BUT the advertising is very inaccurate. It is not "64 pieces cut glass" nor "handcrafted with pure stained glass." Actually, there is no glass, the panels appear to be acrylic. The ad states "finish bronze" but the only bronze color is the small cover piece at the top of the shade - the chain is black & the large cover piece at the ceiling is brown. If it sounds like the assemblies don't match it's because they don't. Furthermore, the filigree at the bottom of the shade is a fragile black plastic that apparently gets stamped out of a solid piece. The shade I received must have by-passed final inspection because the stamping process was incomplete; some spaces still contained the black plastic attached and trying to cut them out looks like an accident waiting to happen.

We are really pleased with this light. It is simple but attractive and seems to be well made.

This lighting fixture is a great addition to our dining room. It was just what the room needed to make it complete. Thank you.
