No nonsense mass air flow
I got these to replace my aging bronze bushed 80mm exhaust fans, my case uses 4 80mm fans for exhaust. These things move a ton of air, they seem well made. They are loud, i already knew this, i could care less about having a silent case.I ran them for a short time at 100%, was like an SR71 Blackbird spooling up for take off and stuff began blowing around the wall. They create a lot of air pressure.Presently running them at 30% until the case temps climb up

Powerful!
I powered this thing up on my bench with my lab power supply @ 12dc and it started moved due to the exhausted air.It is VERY loud @ 12vdc and I found that 8vdc was a good compromise between airflow and noise level.I use it in an external NAS drive case.It is heavy duty and I love it.Oh, and it came with 2 grilles and mounting screws with nuts. I didn't expect that.

Works great in my home lab server
If you donโt mind your server sounding like a jet engine then these are great. I had to run my server with the lid off using the included case fans as they could not move enough air to cool the system. Thanks to these being high static pressure they force the air through the case and can cool the system. These seam well built and come with hardware and fan grills. Can run both off of one motherboard header using a splitter.

Quieter than the 3A version
Bought a used Isilon storage server and the fans that were installed plugged into a daughter board. This caused them to be on 100% power constantly which, for a server room wouldn't be a big issue but too loud for my living room. These were a great replacement and fit perfectly, plus was able to plug into the motherboard to allow fan control from the bios. Perfect.

Too noisy
Way too noisy and my computer did not react well to it. Had to throw my old, slow fan back in the case. But it was triple or quadruple the CFM & rpm of the old one...... I kind of got what I ordered.... jut didn't know how loud it would be.
User
Good fan, high static pressure
Used this as a ventilation fan for my 3d printer enclosure, huge static pressure which is fantastic. I bought it to be able to push through a filter box which it does no problem!

Great airflow, but poorly balanced.
Great airflow, poor balance. Although these fans work well air flow wise, putting multiples of them in a single chassis becomes a real problem, as they all interfere with each other and cause mechanical chassis vibration "beats." I thought I was going to save some money since they tested out so well, only to find when I put 6 in a box, that box vibrates so bad, I had to replace all the fans with san ace anyway. sigh. If you need 1 or 2 fans, these are great. If you need more than that, you'll need to design serious vibration attenuation mounts, as these fans are not well balanced at all.
User
Strap them to a passive cooler
These bad boys will convert a passive air cooler to a top notch active cooler. I have an old Dell T410 motherboard with dual CPUs and these fans keep the chips below 30 C at idle. I do not use the server case. I built my own so fit will need to be considered. The PMW pin works flawlessly with the Dell BIOS.
User
Great cooling
Works perfectly for my Asus motherboard. Not sure what other reviews are talking about the connection not working. Yes they are loud at 100% duty cycle. But if you know what your doing, they will cool a mining card at 50% duty cycle no problem! Highly recommend.
