works well, Good product, as oem should

Dremel tools have been around for decades, essentially unchanged. Maybe I've just missed this handy addition to my Dremel set, but it's THE best accessory yet. I seemed to be always looking to find that damn tool to change a burr or grinder. Those days are gone. Just twist the chuck and change your tool. Voila!

About the only thing i hate with my Dremel is the original chuck head. So you can imagine how excited I was to see they had a fix.Well it's an improvement but it still has some issues.Right out of the box I found the the advice in some of these reviews very helpful because the instructions are in micro size print and don't really explain the process properly. As stated in reviews it is a spring loaded head and the bit grips are tightened inward by the head being screwed down on the Dremel. So it is not like a traditional Drill chuck!The second issue is that the head width takes away some of the versatility that I had with the original head. It's still a better design but I wish they had come up with something even better. I would gladly pay a bit more for a slimmer version that could be tightened and loosen by hand like this one.The third issue is that the small area they provided underneath the chuck for the Dremel wrench to tighten the head down is very small edge and hard to see and use.Luckily for most applications hand tightening is good enough.Overall it's a vast improvement for some applications like using Drill Bits and cutting disks. I am not all that thrilled about using it with the Drum sanding bits as the Chuck is almost as wide as the largest Drum and way bigger than the small drums. It is pretty easy when working at 90 degrees to hit the material with the chuck and damage the item. Also they don't recommend using it with the router bits and I can see why.Basically a must have Item for high usage Dremel users, but it's not a singular Fix for the old chuck head.

The Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck is one of the most essential for rotary tools. I was able to pair this well with my now discontinued Black & Decker RTX-6 2 Amp 3-Speed Rotary Tool and it did wonders. This keyless chuck has been a god send to me to taking bits out and putting drill bits in with ease. This keyless chuck also works well with Dremel Flex Shaft Rotary Tool when you mount it at the end of the shaft. do not quickly dismiss a little piece of attachment add-on like this one. I assure you that once you have this in hand and add that onto your rotary tools, you'll love your tool even more. Make sure you screw the attachment in passively or else when you increase the rotary speed, the attachment can seriously snap and hurt you if it has an uneven weight distribution, although it has never happened to me.Do check for compatibility if your rotary tool can fit this attachment as some don't quite do well with other brands. I was lucky that I've did some research that this attachment fits perfectly well with the Black & Decker RTX-6 2 Amp 3-Speed Rotary Tool (one of the best bang for buck rotary tools).As for the value for money, you can't quite complain much as the Dremel branding has been the staple and known for their rotary tools and their build quality is no exception. of course the anodize black coating will lose its color over time, but hey, its made to be used as a tool and not a paper weight. Purchased this product since 2011 and still working like a charm.

If you own the Milwaukee M12 Rotary Tool, do yourself a favor and buy this immediately. It is a perfect fit to the Milwaukee M12, and it replaced the poor design of the original chuck that broke on me.Frankly, this keyless chuck should be the standard on the M12 tool right out of the box. Changing bits is now incredibly fast, smooth, and tool-free. Dremel did it right, and I am glad it fits the M12 perfectly. Highly recommended upgrade!

Not much reason to hate it really. It's an original made by Dremel chuck and it works perfectly. Bit annoyed there wasn't one with the Dremel I brought, but that doesn't fault the chuck, just the marketing. Some of the knock-offs are fine, but others simply don't fit. I've had ones that worked and those which were a waste of time. If the price difference isn't huge - stick to the original.
