Nice Sun Screen
Easy to rub in and having the slight tint offers more skin protection from damaging UV rays

Favorite Zinc Sunscreen
I am torn on five stars. For me, I would give it 5 all the way down, but it was a long road to get there. I have sensitive skin, sensitive eyes, and am on full skin cancer watch ever since I had four incidents in a row. All meaning my sensy little face can only handle a long list of requests: fragrance free, zinc only, moisturizing, and able to reapply without pilling. ENTER COTZ! After trying so many zinc sunscreens, from Aveeno to Supergoop to EltaMD to Coola to No Ad to Sun Bum, etc... this is the ONLY (face) sunscreen that doesnt burn my eyes or pill or dry my skin out.. It works for me beautifully and the tint is almost invisible but leaves my skin looking dewy AF. This all comes with a couple caveats. Sticky!!! My first week was a big struggle; touching my face would leave my fingers tacky but that meant I couldn't touch my face (win win!). Leading me to.... absorption. If I put this on too close to leaving the house, I can guarantee I'll get a little city dirt or even a gnat stuck to my face! Seriously, it's gotta sit on you for at least 30 minutes. Next was staining, I had to learn to put this on last and ONLY my face or it would stain any top I had on no matter the color. You MUST double cleanse with an oil (I use plain jojoba) and follow up with a water based cleanser (inkey list salicilic acid cleanser) to wash all that stuff off. No matter what sunscreen you use, you should double cleanse anyway. Anyhoo, all that being said, it's my favorite thing in the world. I'm on bottle #8 and see no end in sight. Even the most expensive zinc sunscreens still left my eyes burning for hours, this goes literally on my eyelids. I can reapply on top of it easy. I have people on the street complimenting my skin glowiness. I can understand not wanting to go through all that rigamarole to protect your face but if you are like me looking for something that works juuuuust right? This might be the one for you. I find a bottle lasts me one month, a fair price to pay for protection, moisture, and a nice tint. Overall I would recommend this under my specific circumstances or if you need that extra moisture and like a dewy look.

No white color shown on face after applying and rubbing in
I Love this sunscreen. I received this recommendation from my dermatologist Dr Michelle Henry. She was feature in various blogs and also has had segments on the TODAY show. Ever since I started using Cotz my skin has been radiant and moisturized. I do not use a moisturizer because I feel this does enough. First I started with the richly tinted one which was great but then I noticed it was too dark for my skin. I noticed it more after I put it on. Then I realized there was a lightly tinted type. I tried it and it's perfect. Goes with my skin perfectly. With both types, after rubbing it in, I never noticed that whiteness I always used to see. These were recommended for people working have that issue of seeing the white color on their skin after applying. I've been using this for years and I love it. This is my go to.

Moisturizing base
This is a very moisturizing sunscreen that is good for pale skin in winter. It doesnโt look good on its own but Iโll keep using it as a base in winter. Pros: moisturizing No cast on pale skin. Tinted to counter visible light. Works well under other layers, such as makeup. High spf and presumed UVA protection due to high zinc content. No sting! Price is right Cons: extreme shine that never fully dies down and enhances pores. No cosmetic coverage. For reference I have fair neutral toned skin that is dry in winter, sensitive and prone to melasma. I was hoping to find a high SPF + high UVA protection tinted sunscreen as an all in one. This doesnโt work for that, but I use this and then a layer of Elta MD physical tinted sunscreen plus concealer for cosmetic coverage. In summer I may try a layer of Cotz tinted primer over this to cut the shine and for cosmetic coverage. The tinted primer is too dark when applied as a sunscreen (2 full layers to equal at least 1/4 teaspoon) but 1 layer may work for those of us who are pale. This tinted spf moisturizer is very sheer even when applied in the correct amount, so while it doesnโt look good alone it can be a good base layer as long as you arenโt oily. Finally - thanks to Cotz for providing affordable high protection and at least starting to get a couple shades, but we need more! Give us coverage with lighter shades and darker shades!

Great product
This is my favorite! Ulta no longer carries this brand and luckily I was still able to find it. The lightly tinted covers imperfections, blends great and doesnโt feel heavy on the skin. Great for everyday use!

Wanted to but...
I wanted to like this so much. It really does blend seamlessly into my dark African American skin. NC50 MAC brand. In summer it is way to oily looking. Works in the winter, but if you get the slightest bit oily, don't think about purchasing. The second problem for me is that it caused soo soo soo many breakouts on my skin. I even stopped using it, went a few days back to a past sunscreen. I knew the first day I stopped using it, that it was from this sunscreen, since my skin started to clear immediately. After a few days with clear skin again, I tried agin... not surprised when my skin erupted again. So unfortunately I returned it. But if you have dry skin and aren't sensitive to thick greasy like products this might for for you. Texture is like a Colgate sensitive toothpaste. Not pasty, but soft feeling. It also has iron oxides to help blend in and protect against visible light for those who deal with PIH or hormonal related melasma like myself. It smells like clay. Hope this helps

Really good coverage for the amount of spf in product
Really good coverage for the amount of spf in product, goes a long way, does not upset my skin despite sweating outside at work with it. My skin is extremely prone to breakouts if given natural zinc sunscreens that can clog your pores but this did not cause a single zit despite a very physical outdoor job.
