Perfect for Parking V
Great if you need help parking in a tiny garage. It was very difficult to park my van in the space provided.n I either hit the wall or wasn't in far enough to close the door. This simple motion activated light was perfect to let me know where to park. It was easy to install on the ceiling and adjust to a spot I chose on the dash so now when I pull into the garage I know when I am in the sweet spot! No more having to get out to see if I am in far enough or if I have hit something unintended in front. It is much nicer than a hanging object. It will never be in my way. It also works for two vehicles as there are two light beams that can be adjusted.

So Nice We Bought It Twice!
This would have been a 5-Star rating with the exception of the mobility of the laser "pointers" There is a plastic housing that locks in the lasers for storage/shipping that prevents full 360-degree mobility. Easy fix, my wife said, just by two since it works so well, and inexpensive base on functionality vs. tennis ball other physical alternative. I installed both pointing at two cars in the garage. I actually found that having a second laser per car helps with two aspects of parking. Alignment within the garage, and then ultimately where to stop.

laser garage parking assist system
this works really well to mark the spot you want to pull into, it shines on our dash and that lets us know we are in far enough that the garage door will close just fine

Only useful in Ideal situations.
It works but the laser arms do not articulate enough to accommodate much more than an ideal set up. If you have 2 cars of similar size and they park more or less parallel to each other than this should work for you, but if you have 2 dissimilar sized cars... like an SUV and a compact, you'll have a hard time getting the lasers to hit the dashboards in an area where they can be easily seen by the driver. In my case I have a Golf Sportwagen and a Mach-e. With the cars parked in their normal orientation it was impossible for me to mount the unit overhead in a position where the lasers hit the dash on each car. As a work around I ended up mounting it on the back wall of the garage. Still not ideal because the motion sensor is setup for a ceiling mounted horizontal orientation and not a wall mounted vertical orientation, but at least now the driver can see the laser. The end result is that the device doesn't activate until either car is about halfway into the garage and in some instances does not activate at all. But that happens rarely. Since this isn't always reliable, I added in a couple of tire bump-stops to keep from going too far, and have the device set up to give the driver warning that they are about to hit the bump stop.

Worked for about a week, then when it wants to which isn't often.
Very disappointed. TBH, I waited too long to install this (past the return window). The install was not bad but the range of motion to position the lights was not great for my garage. Other than that, the install went well. The issue is that the lights do not work all the time. One will operate more than the other (of course it is on my wife's side, and her car has 360 cameras, so she doesn't need it. On my side, it does not work more that it does; buy that i mean it won't work most days and then surprise, it works once... then nothing. Will be taking it down and throwing it out when I get around to it. I use blocks on the floor to ensure my truck is all the way in the garage now and they work 100% of the time. Don't like leaving bad reviews but this is an honest one.

Dual laser pointer is a great option
Works great, easy to install. Takes the guesswork out of knowing when to stop.
