Really good and seems to be doing the job.I built a boxed in shelf fir my monitors to sit on and I fitted two of these so I gave lots of USB3 ports to plug into and not having to keep pulling the computer out to plug something in the back.

I have had a few hubs, mostly unpowered USB hubs. I have probably tried 3 other powered USB hubs (one being an Attola), but I decided to go for it. The Atolla hub doesn’t scream quality to be honest, but most hubs like this are plastic, so this hub isn’t any worse than the rest. In fact, this hub is a great device. The others that I’ve tried have been nigh on useless, only allowing you to plug pen drives in and data cables. I have 3 external USB hard drives and I can plug all three in and they work perfectly, unlike the other hubs that cause your hard drives to click and fail to mount if you have more than one drive in at a time. They just didn’t have the power. This device is powered by a 5v 4a adapter (more amps than other hubs, this might be its success) and, touch wood, I have had no problems having all drives plugged in with a data cable to a phone. There are individual power buttons on the hub for each of the ports, which is handy (sometimes essential), if you don’t want all the devices plugged into the hub to start powering up all at once. The hubs USB cable is an adequate length (about a meter).There are however a few gripes I have about the hub. Why do companies have power adapters that are 1 metre in length. This has been my only issue with purchasing a powered USB hub. All the companies provide a ridiculous power cable length. It needs to be at least 6ft. The only other thing that is annoying is the light on the hub ports. When one is lit, the ones next to it get a faint light. This is obviously to keep cost down. Just one other, its expensive.In summary, I took the plunge with this hub, even with the high price, but it is a fantastic buy. I saw the reviews and was a bit hesitant at first, but the positive reviews far outweighed the negative. Its reliable, strong (despite the flimsy look) and even though the lights are not perfect, its good to have them. Power cable could be longer. Each port light needs to be isolated from the others. Apart from the negatives mentioned, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hub. Good job Atolla.

Works great in my home recording studio as the more external instruments you use they need external usb power. Highly recommended.

It took me a while to find this brilliant piece of technology. I wanted a USB hub with lighted ports so I could use it at night without having to switch on the main light or guessing where the port is.There are few options out there, but they are all ugly, the Atolla USB Hub is the best in my opinion for quality, packaging, aesthetics, and functionality.It provides 4 ports to charge your mobile devices (1 extra is on the side which I found super useful to hide my phone docking station cable) and 7 USB 3.0 data ports to attach all your USB peripherals and thumb drives.So far I've used it with my Sandisk Extreme thumb drivers and they work a charm, as well as my USB headphones and microphones. Not a problem, the devices were recognized in less than a blink of an eye and worked perfectly.I can't comment much on durability as I only had it for a little while, but from what I can feel the device is very sturdy and well built so I'd guess it'll live a long life.There are also smaller options with fewer ports in case there is less real estate but I had space so I wanted the biggest, and last but not least the price is quite competitive for the quality of the product.Couldn't be happier, I would highly recommend this to anyone.

5 Star - does every thing it should

This had made such a difference tidying up my desk. As a family historian I have screens, scanners, headsets and all manner of computer stuff on my desk - much of which I only plugged in when needed which was fiddly and left unused cables on my desk.Now my desk is tidy, organised and everything is connected but not necessarily turned on - to operate the scanner now it's a simple button to turn on the power and I'm up and running. I don't actually need all seven ports but spare capacity never goes to waste.It has a separate charging port which is handy and it's also very fast - there's no noticeable lag through it at all

I purchased this item to replace a a previous powered USB hub from RSHTECH that only had 4 USB data ports. Overall it seem OK but the power delivery is a real let-down. I may end up returning this because of it.The advantages of this item are:(1) 7 USB Data Ports and 4 power only USB ports at a reasonable price.(2) Useful switches - that require a 2 second touch to limit the chance of accidentally turning a port off.(3) Bright lights. My previous USB hub has very dim lights that during the day are hardly visible. These dim lights combined with sensitive switches make it easy to turn off a port by mistake and not notice till a device does not work. The lights on the new hub are very visible even in bright light. However, this would turn into a negative if you wanted to sleep in the same room as the Atolla hub.)Neither good nor bad(1) Strong USB connections. You have to push quite hard to insert a device, ensuring a good physical connection. You need two hands to disconnect something as you need one hand to hold the hub down while you pull up on the cable.(2) Seems to provide USB 3.0 speeds. I get the same speedy data transfer rates from my portable SSD that I got with my previous hub. (The SSD may be the limiting factor.)Negatives(1) Power delivery. This is really annoying - especially as the hub supposedly has a 48W power supply. On my previous 36W hub I could charge my phone (Samsung S21 Ultra) reasonably quickly.I have just tried comparing the two hubs and on the Atolla my phone says that it will take 2h 10min to charge from 22% to full. On my previous hub it says "Fast charging" and only 1h 21min. Using a charging app on my phone I can see that my previous hub provided around 2800mA when charging, whereas the Atolla hub only provides around 1500mA. This is not much more than I can get from the data ports. I get the same result from all 4 power ports on the Atolla. (See the two photos for details of the power delivery on the two hubs.)(2) Built in USB cable - I would have preferred a detachable USB cable, especially when using with a laptop - so I could have used a much shorter USB cable to save on cable clutter.
