A must-have for cloth diapering!
I bought these cloth diapers when I was getting lost in the huge cloth diaper market as a first-time mom. Anyhow, after I saw those good reviews, I decided to give this a shot. Usually I prewash new cloth stuff for my family, so this better works out coz i wouldn't be able to return them after washing. In a word, these diapers are the BEST! If you are rushing to go to bed because preparing for your newborn has worn you out, then you can stop here and place the order. But if you just start the cloth diapers hunting, feel free to continue reading my experience: I ordered the infant size, instead of use it alone as a cloth diaper as instructed on the package, I use it as an insert with a shell. And here comes the reasons why I love them: a) they are so so soft and comfy, and it only gets better after using and washing. My mom has been helping me to take care of the baby and she keeps telling me how much she loves these diapers and they are way much better than what she had to use on us back then. I usually don't really care how great the description is because I only trust my experience. And this one passes my test, baby never had a rash with this diaper, that explains a lot about the quality of the material. b) they are not white. Yes this is important. When you have to deal with baby's explosive yellowish poop, you would appreciate this non-white diaper because they are easier to clean than the white cloth. even though there is a little residue, you won't be able to tell. You might think white cloth diapers are prettier than these, but the thing is you use them to hold baby's pee and poop, being more useful is more important. c) they become less bulky as your baby grows bigger. During the first few weeks, it does look a little bulky on the baby because I had to fold most of the part to fit the tiny baby. But as the baby grows bigger, I can fold it less and less. Even though it's only infant size, I don't see a problem using it as an insert at later stage. Again, my experience is based on using it as an insert. The instructions on the package show you how to use it as a diaper by itself, but I think it makes a lot more sense to use it as an insert with an waterproof shell. d) they are more affordable than other inserts, at least those similar quality ones. And for the long run, using cloth diaper is going to save you lots of bucks. A bonus for this one is that you can buy the infant size one and use it as insert for the entire stage. Whereas a lot of other cloth diaper inserts come with two sizes, which means you need to spend double the money. e) they are thick and absorbent. The biggest concern about using cloth diaper is the leakage. With this one, even though the diaper is soaking wet, it doesn't leak on baby's pants. While it's gonna be another story with the poop, if your baby has frequent and small bowel movement, this should be fine, but if your baby has infrequent and explosive bowel movement, get ready to change the entire outfit and have fun! To have a better sense of how absorbent these diapers are, I did a test with this one and the thirsties 50% hemp and 50% cotton insert, it turns out that this one is a big winner because it can go about twice the time than the other one before it gets soaked. f) It's not complicated at all to do the cleaning. When I was still pregnant and thought of doing the cloth diaper, I was like I would never hand wash those smelly diapers!! So in the first week I put the dirty diapers under running tap water and asked my husband to wring out them and hang them up. Originally the plan was to accumulate a three-day cloth diapers before we put them in the washer coz we want to save the laundry cost. But it was not the best idea to let dirty diapers to line dry because it becomes harder to clean. Fine, let's do hand wash. First step is to soak them with hot water to get rid of the smell, then leave them in some draft baby detergent water, a few hours later, hand rinse and twist them then hang them up line dry. The more you do the easier it gets. And now I become a mom who hand washes baby diapers. If it involves bowel movement, the work is a little more, but still easy. Just put them in a basin, use the running tap water to wash out the poop particles, dump the water in the toilet bowel, then repeat the steps as described above. I saw some products like diaper sprinkler online, but I like keeping things simple and it worked out just fine. In a sum, these are a great buy for parents who do cloth diapers, and a great product for babies who may or may not be sensitive to disposable diapers, too. Thanks for reading and have fun with diaper changing and cleaning.

These Prefolds Are Everything I Hoped For!
As a first-time cloth diaper parent, I wasn't sure what to expect from prefolds, but OsoCozy has exceeded my expectations in every way. This 6-pack of Size 1 unbleached prefolds has become the backbone of our cloth diaper routine for my 10-pound baby. The absorbency is remarkable - these prefolds hold an impressive amount while staying relatively trim under covers. The unbleached cotton gets softer and more absorbent with every wash, which I love knowing contains no harsh chemicals against my baby's sensitive skin. After about five wash cycles, they reached peak absorbency and now feel like the softest burp cloths. The 4x8x4 layer construction creates the perfect balance of absorption in the center where you need it most, while the thinner sides make folding and fitting much easier. I use them primarily with covers using the newspaper fold, and they fit beautifully without creating bulk around the legs. What surprised me is how versatile these are beyond just diapering. They work fantastically as burp cloths, changing pad liners, and cleanup rags. The quality construction means they're holding up perfectly through frequent washing in hot water, and the natural cotton actually looks better with age. The size 1 fits my baby perfectly from 7 pounds and still has room to grow. The edges are well-sewn and haven't shown any fraying despite heavy use and washing. At this price point for six high-quality prefolds, the value is outstanding compared to other brands I researched. For anyone considering prefolds, OsoCozy makes the learning curve much gentler. These have given me confidence in our cloth diaper journey and will definitely be purchasing the next size up when needed.

Great pre-folds
So I actually bought this product on accident. I was looking for the bamboo Osocozy prefolds and didn't read the description on the product well. Either way I am super happy with these. They are high quality, absorbent, and soft. They also fit our baby great. I have always used pocket diapers but I was looking for a more economical way to cloth. These are big enough that I can actually fold them around my baby and use a Snappi to secure, or use them in a pocket diaper as an insert. A couple things to keep in mind: - These will shrink when washed. - These are not as soft to the touch compared to bamboo they will however become softer with continued washing. I am totally comfortable with this coming into direct contact with my babies skin. Bamboo is a luxury. - While absorbent, again, bamboo will be more absorbent. We have never had an issue with leaking. They will reach full absorbency in about 10 washes or so. - The most important thing to keep in mind is bamboo is naturally anti-microbial (keeps the stank out) where as cotton isn't. So you may have to strip these if you don't find a good wash routine. All in all I would totally buy these again and continue to buy them. They are a lightweight, non-bulky, and breathable option for delicate baby skin. Also a total bonus that they are organic.

Gigantic, but sooo soft!
I'm a pocket diaper user, and I was looking for some prefolds to use in the diaper (IE: against baby's butt, and not in the pocket) in addition to stuffing the pocket at night so I could avoid changing him in the middle of the night. It seems to make him more awake, and therefore harder to put back to sleep. Anyway, I should have read more reviews and taken more measurements before I purchased these - they're gigantic! I bought size 2 because my son is 8 months old, and I didn't want to buy anything that he would outgrow anytime soon. I should have purchased the smaller ones to use as inserts. Even after washing and drying 3 times, these are several inches longer than the diapers, and though I haven't tried using them for my intended purpose yet, I don't think they'll work. It looks like they'll make the diaper too bulky and I'll end up with a lot of space left between the diaper and my son's legs. They're fluffy, though, and REALLY soft! I have a few prefolds of some unknown brand (they were hand-me-downs) which I've been using as burp cloths since my son was born. They're by far my favorite burp cloths: big, absorbent, soft, and they soak up the liquid very quickly in comparison to the other burp cloths I have. I may swap them, and use my old ones as inserts and these new ones as burp cloths. These would probably work very well as a prefold diaper, or maybe used as an insert in a shell. For pocket diapers, they're HUGE. I'm still going to experiment with them, and maybe wrap one around my regular nighttime combo of a hemp insert under a charcoal bamboo and lay the whole shebang into an unstuffed pocket diaper.

Goodbye Diaper Rash!
I am completely new to cloth diapering. My daughter has been in Seventh Generation disposable diapers since she was born (with a temporary stint in Earth's Best). I originally wanted to use cloth diapers, but everyone talked me out of it. My daughter is now six months old (just under 14 pounds and about 27" tall), and I am tired of her permanent diaper rash. I change her every two hours like clockwork. We have tried EVERYTHING! Her skin is so sensitive and she has had allergic reactions to almost every cream I have tried. Well, I got these in the mail yesterday evening (along with a Thirsties Duo Wrap and three Snappis). I spent all last night prewashing these to get them ready. Today, I tried one out for the first time. I used a trifold and just let this lay in the Thirsties cover (size 2). I'm sure this will not work overnight, but my daughter had just woken up, was squirmy, and wanted to eat. Less than two hours later (she was in her Go Pod), she was grunting and making weird faces, so I took her into the nursery to change her. First off, her clothes were dry. This shocked me. I'm so used to her diapers leaking all the time. I figured that the trifold just laying in the cover wouldn't do much, but I was wrong. Next, I noticed that the prefold was SOAKED all the way through from top to bottom. However, my baby's skin was nearly dry! I only had to use one wipe for the first time ever. Finally, her diaper rash was completely gone! For anyone worried that prefolds will limit your child's movement, I have included a video of my six-month-old, who has just started learning to crawl in the past couple of weeks. In case you are wondering, I folded the diaper into a modified newspaper fold (YouTube: "How to fold a cloth diaper") and used a Snappi with the Thirsties size 2 Duo Wrap on top. Compared to when she was in disposables, I do not see any difference in her crawling technique. I am convinced that switching to cloth diapers is going to be the best thing for my daughter. I promise to update this in a couple of weeks when I've had some more experience, different products to compare with these prefolds, and my routine/method down pat. Update: I still love these prefolds! We still haven't had any leaks, even after 12 hours overnight! However, we have had to stop using cloth diapers overnight. Due to how long my daughter sleeps, she keeps getting a yeast rash at night. (Yes, we tried using disposable liners to keep the moisture off her skin.) We, now, use disposable diapers (back to Seventh Gen) at night so that we are able to apply a prescription antifungal ointment. (Yes, they still leak.) I know that we could use liners to protect the diapers from the ointment, but I don't want to risk ruining the diapers. Other than that, these prefolds are great. I also purchased a pack of OsoCozy 6 Pack Birdseye Flat Unbleached Diapers . Before we had to stop using cloth diapers at night, we used these flats as boosters. They worked great. The flats also work well, in place of the prefolds, with a hemp insert if you would like a trimmer fit for outings.

Perfect Prefolds!
Our little one is now 4 months old and 15 pounds -- we have been using these since she was first born. They were a little bulky at first using the standard "newspaper" fold (shown on the package), but now we use them CONSTANTLY simply tri-folded inside a cover. They are incredibly soft and super absorbent - we have not had a single leak! I would highly recommend these - great, affordable cloth diaper option! Just don't forget to get yourself a good cover and some Snappis to go with them. :) Update at 20 months: we are STILL loving these prefolds. I wish there were a size between 1 and 2 -- size 1 still work for our 23 lb, 31 inch toddler, but barely: they are too short to provide coverage from front to back in her covers (size 2 Thirsties, or one-size Blueberry, Sweet Pea), so now they are the last ones we reach for. I picked up a 6-pack of the size 2, but find they are really long on our daughter (slightly better with bikini twist fold, but I still end up with a huge bump in the front or back), so we use them at night when the extra bulk doesn't matter as much. I still highly recommended these prefolds - the size 1 lasted us past 12 months, and show very little wear. Great value!

Love love love!
I'm a first time cloth diaper-er and haven't tried any other prefold. After doing my amazon review research these were my favorite and I haven't been disappointed. I use the jellyroll method with diaper pins and use a thirsties size 1 cover. There are very rarely any blowouts, and when there are it never gets on the clothes. They're very absorbent - our little girl hasn't needed night changes since maybe 4-5 weeks old (she's a light night soiler though). I don't even use a liner with them at night (which is only aggravating because they're bought, washed, and unreturnable. Oh well - backup wipes!). Most importantly they don't irritate her bum. I use Bordeaux's natural butt paste (green bottle) since it won't clog the cloth. On the rare occasion I have to use disposables, by 2 days of using the cloth any diaper rash starts fading and by 5-7 days its completely gone. I didn't bother with a toilet sprayer, I just rinse mine in the basement slop sink when I have a small load (2 days worth, approx 24-30 diapers). I also use rock the green detergent for them in bare naked babies which I love. We've been using these prefolds at 9 lbs (when her cord fell off) first we folded it in the back, we started front folding at 12 lbs. I think they might shrink a little because some do not fit the same as others, but its so subtle it's not an actual complaint, that's just why we started front folding. Even with a front fold she has yet to poo up past the back of the diaper (the back fold pocket would catch some of that before it went to disaster status). She's 15 lbs now and we still have to fold it down in the front - but not nearly as much. By 18 lbs I'm guessing well stop folding down. Just to give you a size reference. We also had the better fit infant size (purple edging, up to 16lbs) they were great too, these are still our main ones because they have a broader weight range (when rolling and pinning). Good luck!

Great budget diapering
This review is for size 2. I never thought I'd end up preferring prefolds over pocket diapers but I do. My son is now 1 year old. I found that prefolds are the most consistently reliable- no leaks, rarely a blow out. Particularity in the first few months these fit him the best.Just a few quick notes: -I did use size 2 from 15 pounds. It looks a little funny, and you do have to fold over a lot of extra material but I did it. The extra material is actually helpful because babies are drinking so much at that point. Up until 6-9 months he could go 3-4 hours in this if he didn't poop. Now at 12 months I need to change this diaper every 2-3 hours. I'm a stay at home mom and I've gotten used to it. It helps that I know how much money I've saved. -I really like being to use any detergent I want, nothing special.(yes I know some people do anyway but I haven't found it necessary) I wash every 3 days. I do a quick rinse, then the regular hot wash with extra rinse. And I have an top loading HE machine that barely uses any water, which i don't recommend buying. However it does manage to get my ozocozy diapers clean. I use Purex mountain green OR All free and clear. We switched to All because my son has mild eczema. I never needed to strip or do any special to get these smelling fresh. -I use a Snappi with a large Thirsties velcro cover over this prefold. I hate fiddling with the snap covers that a lot of people seem to like. -These prefolds never squeeze out pee as long as you change it within reasonable time. (This has happened with microfiber insert that come with pocket diapers). They feel soft and warm when wet. My son seems as comfortable in these as a disposable. -We did use a disposable at night for the first few months because these regular cotton prefolds couldn't keep him dry enough for 8+ hours. I wouldn't expect them to though. Now once he was 9 months I switched him to pocket diapers at night with a hemp soaker in it. This works. Let just say again though, the one size pocket diapers didn't fit him well until 6-9 months. The pocket diapers were leaking up until this point and I got tired of it. If it weren't for the osocozy prefolds I would have given up and gone to disposables all day when he was a newborn. - Overall, the ozocosy cotton prefold rocks and kept me cloth diapering. If I had totally invested in one size pockets it would have been a disaster. I really suggest trying these for a few weeks if your thinking about it and only getting 3-4 pockets as a comparison.

awesome product. ... must have for cloth diapering
First time I heard about prefolds and ordered online... as soon as I received I didnt have good feeling about this product. .. it was thinner and rougher than I imagined... but after several wash it became so soft and fluffy to use... it absorbs more liquids than I expected. .. and the poo doesn't stick to the cloth... its easy to wash also... if ur cloth diapering osocozy is must have and best for the value. ...

Will not use again, did not work for us
Unfortunately my newborn baby developed a serious nappy rush while using this together with PUL covers (I changed the nappies every 2 - 3 hours). Pocket nappies work for us because of the wicking layer (this nappie does not have one). Absorbency is good, materials and quality are fine as well. I am using them as cloth sheets on the changing table and for baby weighting on scale.

Leaking after 4-5 times washing
Update: Itโs working fine now. (You will need to wash & dry 7-8 times for better results) I am happy with them. After washing many times, still not able to hold any urine. Very disappointing product. This is my second order. First order is working perfectly.
