Actually I got it for a Fleischmann car, and it took some doing to install it, but it works, sorta.

Just what I needed for my HO trains

too many pieces
To many pieces had to modify it and then after that it was loose, I ended up throwing it away a waste of hard earned money. Seems like we do that a lot lately?

Re: The Rivarossi Conversion Coupler
I purchased this item with the hopes that it would help me solve a problem, on one of my Riverossi Locomotives. It arrived in perfect condition and the delivery was sooner than I expected. Unfortunately, it didn't really solve the situation, and needed some considerable modifications, to make it work. That wasn't your fault......sometimes things don't always fit, they way you hope. Thanks anywayRJP

Needs significant modification to fit Rivarossi SP Daylight cars
I bought two of these to convert Rivarossi SP Daylight 4 wheel passenger cars which come stock with horn hooks. Needs quite a bit of modification. The trucks and the bumps on the assembly need to be filed for this assembly to even fit into the trucks; then the hole in the assembly is too small and in the wrong spot. I drilled a hole very close to the inward most end of the assembly, then filed it square. It doesn't secure so well so I added some hot glue. I had to install upside down to get the height right and the coupler is a bit floppier than it should be because the spring inside the pocket is on the wrong side now. The plain passenger cars work fine, but the observation car, for example, has some protrusions on the bottom side which seem to interfere on tight radius curves, so it derails. I don't have a height gauge yet, but when I get one, I'll probably need to do some more filing on the cars. Was hoping this would be a lot more straightforward... I have 10 cars to convert and the first one took about half an hour... assuming I can get down to 10 minutes per once I have it dialed in.
