The size for medium is accurate. Another seller's medium was too big, more like a large. It launders well. I'd cut fingers on two separate occasions and thought I'd better get some gloves to save my fingers. I think these will work very well for me. It says two pair so I have 4 gloves to use since I only use the glove on the item holding what I'm cutting. I recommend this item for hand knives.

Easy pick up, no cuts or snags. Very strong. Not clumsy like some gloves.

Work really well. I tried hard to purposely cut them but they didn't even fray. And then I tried them on my hands and tried to cut them but they still didn't fray and I didn't feel a thing. I tried to stab with the tip a little but didn't want to try too hard that way. I did feel a poke, but they're more made for cuts than stabs. And who knows I didn't try hard with the stab but it could have held up and still saved a lot of damage. I'm not rating it based on stabs though because it'll never be stabbing our hands with the tip unless we're doing something horribly wrong lol. But I tried serrated and smooth knives and none of them affected the gloves at all and my hand was perfectly safe. Got these for a food slicer we bought. It was a 5 star slicer though a lot of the review pictures were of badly cut bleeding or bandaged hands. Even though bleeding badly with blood dropping everywhere they said it just showed the slicer worked really well all while giving a bloody thumbs up. So figured I'd get these gloves for myself and my wife to use with it in order to avoid that all together and not add anymore 5 star bloody picture reviews. We probably won't need to use them for normal cutting since we aren't bad with knives, but the slicers can get slippery and I could see these gloves saving us a lot of fingertips and scars. I would definitely recommend these. After the testing I did they have proved they work without any worry.

Seems good so far. I got a set of super sharp knives and after the last time I cut my finger (pretty deep and awful) I decided to try these gloves. I haves cut my finger with them on yet but I did cut them with one of my brand new super sharp knives and it didnt break so im very hopeful.

These gloves do the job. No slicing fingers with these!

I was convinced that these were going to be useless and a return. I decided to test them by putting some fruit inside and slicing. To my astonishment, the blade just glanced right off the glove and the fruit was perfectly fine! I even built up the courage to try it on myself, and sure enough, fully protected and A-OK. As far as sizing, I got Large and the size worked out well for me--I am right between Medium and Large on most gloves (3.25" middle finger, 8" circumference). Unfortunately, I can't speak to ease of cleaning or long-term durability yet. Two very important caveats: 1) I am not brave enough to really saw at the knife or do an impact test with the blade. So my light-duty tests may not be representative at all of, say, running your fingers into the blade of a mandoline at full speed. I am comfortable enough with it, but you may feel differently and want to test yours more rigorously. 2) TEST YOUR OWN GLOVES, AND NOT JUST ONE - ALL OF THEM. Just because mine passed don't mean yours will. I mentioned I expected them to fail, and that was mainly due to some credible reviews saying they don't work. It is feasible that quality varies from one glove to the next, and it's important to prove each one.

As you can see from the pictures, it does rip! I decided to test it out with a knife to see if it was truly protective and the picture shows the result. I guess this is why they gave 2 in a pack versus 1, a backup for situations like this. All in all, I’d still use it cause I am so accident prone in the kitchen with knives. I would still recommend but with a caveat that it could rip still.
