Quality Product at a Budget Price
Exactly as described and worked perfectly right out of the box. I was genuinely surprised by the excellent build quality, especially considering the low price. Excellent external DVD
This external DVD drive is easy to use with my laptop and has worked perfectly from the very start. Installation was simple: I just plugged it in, and the computer recognized it immediately. It reads and burns discs quickly and without errors. I like that it is lightweight, compact, and easy to carry. Plus, it has USB connectivity, making it compatible with various devices. The quality is very good.

Very Nice External Drive.
Give it about 5-10 minutes after plug-in for everything to click. Desktop recognizes it. Windows Media Player recognizes it. Works very well. Burns quickly. I dinged it a star because the attached USB cord is VERY short. Six inches. If you're hooking up to a laptop you might not care. But if you're 'replacing' your desktop drive, you pretty much have to set this drive on top. Or get an extension.

Good size and simple
This works perfectly! I got this for some old computer games I played as a kid. It’s easy, just plug it into a USB slot and I out the CD, then it does its job! Good size too.

Works Great, Compact Design!
I use a 2021 Macbook Air, currently running Tahoe 26.5. I plugged this in and my computer recognized it as soon as I had a disc in. It's super easy to use; my computer apparently has a built-in dvd player, so I didn't even have to download anything or do anything complicate. I also LOVE that there's a cutout in the bottom of the player to neatly store the cord when it's not in use, making it VERY easy to store and very sleek. I love that so much.

Works excellent. Fast and reliable
Amazing product. I used it since my laptop has no CD drive. Works great. Transferred my songs to iTunes in just a few minutes. Would highly recommend.

Works as Expected!
I had a bit of trouble setting this up and had to get help but once it was hooked up properly it works fine with my laptop. It wasn't just plug and play. A special app had to be added in order for it to work. But it does work well, priced right and delivered quickly.

Useless for Linux
Despite it says on the box that it works with Linux OS, it does not! There is an email in the manual and the answer I got when I asked for an installing driver for the latest LTS release of Linux was: "Hi, Sorry for not being able to reply you earlier. Having sent your issue to our technical team, we were told this external drive doesn't support Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS. It work fine with Mac and windows system. Sorry for the inconvenience and sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience. Best regards" This is why I gave this item the minimum score for portability. As for easy to use, I think the cable could be a bit longer, because when I'm home I use a platform to elevate my notebook, so the screen is horizontally aligned to my eyesight. I am going to test the drive with Windows, but that is going to be a pain in the neck to keep switching between OS just because of it.

Ce lecteur répond bien à mes attentes.
Je l'ai branché sur mon ''laptop'' car celui-ci n'a pas de lecteur CD/DVD intégré. Globalement, je suis satisfait du résultat. Bon rapport qualité-prix.

Cumple con lo que se describe en el producto, el único detalle que encuentro es que no aparece como detectado por el equipo, solo al momento de grabar si aparece el nombre de la unidad.

funktionierte leider beim 1. ausprobieren nicht
Ich wollte das DVD Laufwerk für meinen Arbeitsplatz. Dorthin habe ich es mitgenommen, ohne es vorher auszuprobieren. Das hätte ich machen sollen. Als ich es im Juni 2026 dann nutzen wollte, habe ich festgestellt, dass es überhaupt nicht funktioniert. Ich kann nicht einmal die Schublade öffnen. Es scheint so, dass es keinen Strom hat. Ich hätte es vorher ausprobieren sollen, da die Rückgabe nun vorbei ist. Da ich ein anderes älteres Modell hatte, habe ich aber auf die Funktionsfähigkeit vertraut.
