Big Game Hunter is a decent little gaming experience that really doesn't take much skill, time, talent, or drive to get into. The game is self-explanatory, the controls don't take much to get into, and the feel itself can be stiff at times. I find it hard to judge the graphics because in 2008 these graphics must have been fairly decent. You definitely get the realism feel in each and every hunt, and there is a nice variety of terrain, weather, climate, and situation. The game has it's tougher moments, but overall is also an easy score for someone looking to do a little gamerscore boosting along the way. Cheap, easy to beat, and not that challenging.

I purchased this game and waited for a while to receive it and when I got the game it didn't work or function. It was very scratched and had some sort of substance stuck to the game disk.

Have you ever wanted to play a hunting game that gives you tons of customization options with loads of different animals and maps to hunt and play through? Then this game isn't what you're looking for. The graphics are atrocious for an Xbox 360 game. There is no "adventure." Everything is linear. There's only one path to follow, and tons of invisible barriers to stop you from exploring. Not to mention the fact that the game is confusing beyond a doubt. The game told me to shoot the "Trophy Buck" and I saw a 16-point buck, and I was like "Well that's definitely got to be it." So I shot it, because that wasn't the Trophy Buck. Turns out that the Trophy Buck wasn't even on that map, but on the next one, where I was supposed to (again) follow a linear path, shoot the buck while it STANDS RIGHT THERE waiting for me to kill it, then I go to take a picture and a bear jumps out and attacks you. The only plus-side about this game is that it's simple and it's probably a great game for kids who are too young to know how to do anything that requires effort. I would buy this game for someone who's seven-years-old or below. I've played a few Cabela's games in my time, and this game is by far one of the bottom of the barrel. I absolutely, 100% regret buying it.

Very realistic. The first time a predator attacked me it made me jump. I would recommend to any hunter who is between seasons.

I like hunting the mini hunts, I get to shot at moving animals and can play it as much as I want. The danger of being attacked at any time is awsome.
