Question 1

The packaging say it kills "odor causing bacteria" but doesn't mention anything about giardia or cryptosporidium.Will it work against those Pathogens?

The product description on amazon says that it kills, but the aquamira website doesn't. While it says that chlorine dioxide kills Cryptosporidium and Giardia, it doesn't want to say it explicitly so until proven.

What is the shelf life prior to opening the bottles and after opening ?

-Once treated with Aquamira Water Treatment, stored water has a 5 year shelf life.-Aquamira Treatment (itself) has a 4 year shelf life from manufacturing date on bottle.

How many drops per liter?  I just purchased this product, and nowhere in the directions is this info provided.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Harmful if swallowed.  Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes or clothing.Directions:1) Prior to treatment, clean and disinfect the water storage container and lid.2) place 7 drops AQUAMIRA Water Treatment (Part A) and 7 drops of Phosphoric Acid Activatgor (Part B) in mixing cap to pre-mix.3) Let mixture react 5 minutes to ensure full activation.4)Fill container with 1 quart (1 liter) water. Add contents of mixing cap.5) Shake or stir and let stand for 15 more minutes. If water is very cold or turbid, let stand for 30 minutes.6) Water is now ready to use.Treats up to 30 gal (114 L) of water.

do these work for countries where you're advised to only drink bottled water like Mexico, Cuba etc?

Yes they do. These drops require 15 minutes to purify a quart of water.
I prefer the drops over the tablets because the tablets require 4 hours to purify a quart of water.
