I am looking for artificial hydrangeas to put in a planter outside. How do they hold up in the elements?

As a floral designer I have worked a lot with artificial flowers. I would not partically recommend these for outside, they are pretty but fragile, they make beautiful indoor arrangements. Craft stores sell some flowers that hold up better in the elements. They are normally sold as seasonal flowers and are marked with as such, usually a tag saying water resistant. For outdoor use most other artificials are good for about one year because they fade in the sun. Do not use them under water sprinklers because the dye might run. I like to use flowers with small blooms that look more like wild flowers because they look more natural and some have water resistant leaves.

I don’t understand how many you are getting it says 10 is it one bouquet of flowers ?

it is 10 separate flowers. you have to attach the stems to the flowers. While most of them were perfect, one bunch I received had faulty stems, it was very hard to attach them to the flower head I had to cut them and mess with them to get them to work. But I did order several of theses in all different colors for wedding table decorations and they were beautiful and only one bunch came faulty.

I see the "bunch" in a small vase opening,how would they look in a 6" vase opening?

Overwhelming.. and the flowers ar not vase quality.

How do you attach the stems?

There is a bit of an open plastic 'extension' at the bottom of the flower head ... the stem inserts into it.

GET THESE FLOWERS

I bought these to fill some planters that I’m using for my wedding this summer. These fake flowers are PERFECT. They’re durable, easy to use, fluff up nicely, and it comes with so many for a good price. I was able to stuff these planters and had some leftover to use in another arrangement. Will definitely be buying more of these!

Best of the best!!!

These are the most beautiful Hydrangea Flowers on amazon, I have bought 3 times from different sellers and I had to return all of them because color didn't match the pic and the flowers were too small and squished. AVIVIHO has the best quality for the money, they are very full and look so realistic, and the Red color is beautiful as shown in the pic. Would highly recommend! 10/10
