The Scofield® Study Bible III, NIV

I love this bible! I went ahead and ordered it because my dad had a similar bible growing up. He read to me in NIV 84 as my pastor and dad. So naturally I have an easier time recalling and understanding passages in this version. The concordance is extremely useful for linking concepts and diving deeper into scripture. The leather cover is remarkable to the touch and the study tools are useful. This Bible makes it so much easier to dive into scripture for me. If you're analytical and like to have a wealth of spiritual information on demand. I highly recommend purchasing.

This is my first NIV version of the Bible I've had in KJV, NKJV translation before. C.I. Scofield was a dispensation pastor, and his Bible study is oriented to that type of study. Cross index and additional notes are excellent! As always with Oxford Press Bibles, pages are extremely thin and tear a bit too easily I believe, so be careful, and the Bible will be with you for many years to come.

Quality work and awesome gift

Te Scofield Study Bible is very easy to read and the price is amazingly low compared to other similar bible studies. Pros: Very good references, Good quality materials, thumb index, the price, the commentaries, concordance and maps, Is the perfect bible for teaching or references and the words of Jesus in the NT are red plus few other extras. Cons; I found like 3 pages that were slightly bigger on the corners but you can trim those pages and it will fix the problem. I gave 5 stars to the Scofield Bible because is a good quality bible and the price is amazingly low. I have a KJV but NIV Scofield bible is better to read and understand.

I really enjoyed the Bible it was one of the best Bible's I have had ,I loved the footnotes and the scripture references,I was also able to see the words better, the writing was not so tiny as I have seen in the past were I was unable to read it. I also brought more then one to give away and the individuals I gave them to were very pleased with them and their Quality To also top it off I enjoyed the price. I am very pleased with Amazon and their fair prices and I always recommend everyone to use them . Ps. A rare book that may be purchased new that has the complete 1984 NIV text. The 2011 NIV is a revision of the TNIV from 2005 which puts translation accuracy behind interpretation for gender inclusive language. When the 2011 was released, the 1984 edition was discontinued and quickly became hard to find. The book is nice to read from and the study guides are interesting. Many of the interpretive study notes do not present data as completely authoritative; but instead, present prevailing interpretations leaving the discernment on some interpretation left to the reader.

I love the size and layout of this bible. Very nice paper and font. Very little ghosting. The only problem is the study notes. It has very few study notes at the bottom of the pages for deep study. Otherwise, it's a pretty good Bible.

Un réel plaisir pour qui veut lire sa Bible en anglais, avec de nombreux commentaires et explications passionnants. Les onglets sont très pratiques et la couverture "simili-cui" est très solide. Bref je suis très heureux de cet achat. A quand le même modèle en français ?

God's Word is always excellent, but along with that this also has lots of study notes and cross references along with a lot of topical articles, charts and various complimentary lists.
