Campbell's Chunky Chili, Hot & Spicy with Beans, 15.25 oz Microwavable Bowl (Pack of 8)

This chili is better than Wendy's and half the price. It's delicious. It has great texture. It's spicy. It's great with chopped onions, grated cheddar and a dollop of sour cream. Wanna get creative? Try this! Have a bowl of chili without the sour cream & take a PBJ sandwich and dunk it into the chili. Now take a big bite mmmmm good. I like grape jelly. It's great.

This chili is really good and hearty. It is not too hot. I also added another can of kidney beans and hamburger. It taste just fine out of the can.

One the best canned chilies I have ever had.

I like spicy foods, so this chili caught my attention when I was browsing different chili products. To my delight, the chili had the bold flavor I like in the chili I eat and had a nice zing to it. It is great to eat by itself or eat it with rice, for a nice bowl of chili and rice. All in all, I am glad I decided to give this chili a try. Definitely will purchase again in the future.

Closest commercial chili to what my mother made when I was growing up. We’re Asian but lived back to back with a Texican family for over 2 years, and the mothers became friends. I don’t think I ever knew what Mexican state their mother was from, so know the exact style, but my mother learned from her to make chili and tortillas (back then in the Midwest there was not Mexican or Asian products at the grocery stores, not even tortillas or soy sauce. And the rice was pretty much Rice-o-roni or Uncle Ben’s. ) So, anyways — My mother learned to make chili from a Mexican woman. And this chili, if not identical, is at least the equivalent to a fraternal twin. Just the right amount of bell pepper as a hint of that “green” taste, without overpowering the whole. And the use of kidney beans rather than pinto beans. About time someday made canned chili with kidney beans which aren’t cooked to death, the skin being just a little bit chewy. And just enough heat — the type that builds. So in the beginning you tell yourself Oh, it’s barely hot at all (so the very first time I had it I added tobasco after a couple of couple of spoonfuls), But it’s the type of heat that builds, and by the last spoonful your nose is just a little bit runny, and your forehead just barely starting to build a sheen of sweat. So if, you’re it cooling your mouth down with beer or milk of grapefruit juice, you know it has heat, just not instant heat. All I else I can say is Yum-Yum-Yum!!! 5-stars

Campbell’s Chunky Hot and Spicy Chili With Beans delivers on heat but falls short on depth. The spice level is satisfying without being overwhelming, and the beans are hearty enough for a quick meal. It’s convenient and filling, especially when you’re short on time. However, the flavor feels a bit one-note, with the meat tasting processed and the texture leaning toward mushy. It’s not bad, just not memorable. Good for a fast bite or emergency pantry stock, but not something I’d reach for regularly.

Just the right amount of heat. Great taste.
