Review: Better than Car Wars, quicker to play than most war games - I was always a fan of Car Wars but it was often difficult to get people learn the rules and sit through more than one game. The rules are too clunky. Gaslands is easy to learn, fun to play, and has great replay value. The concept of using matchbox cars was a no brainer and I am surprised nobody thought of it years ago. I have played many table top battle games since the 70's (yes I am middle aged) and this one is by far the easiest to learn, has a great concept , and can be played with less than 5 bucks worth of materials and the rule book. I have already taught my wife and kids how to play and will be getting the grandkids going soon- it is family friendly and, who doesn't have some badass matchbox cars already on hand. My son and I are looking forward to chopping and modding some cars into Mad Max style fighting machines. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants a more simple (yet still awesome game mechanics) table top battle game, any fan of Mad Max or Car Wars, or anyone who loves matchbox cars. Best game to come out in the past few years, by far. Review: What a cool game. - This is a great game for kids and adults alike. All you need is this book, and some $1 hot wheels cars. You don’t have to spend a fortune like X-Wing or Warhammer to enjoy an engrossing tabletop game. The rules are straightforward without being simplistic—you start playing your first game and it makes total sense in minutes. Well written; you can use the simple rules in the first half of the book, or get super complicated in the second half. A warning however—it is way more fun (and addictive) if you paint up your cars and trick them out with 3D printed armor and guns, which are super cheap on Etsy. Cheap, as in under $3 for a big package of various weapon types. Also it’s great to use plastic movement templates and tokens you can get on Etsy, also super-cheap. But you don’t have to, you can use the templates in the book to create all of it from a cereal box!

Great group game, super low entry cost, mix of board game and miniature combat.
Probably one of the best "tactical" miniature games out there. Not because it's super complicated, but because it isn't super complicated. My youngest (7 years) can understand and enjoy this game and my oldest (13 years) plays super competitive. The templates make it easy to place and move the cars and using the die cast model toy cars is cheap and dead simple. No need to paint or find bases--find your favorite even fresh out of the package and put some tape on the wheels to keep it from rolling and start playing. After a few games and even our group of 5 players with one car each doesn't take more than an hour to play.

Maybe the best and easiest war/car game out there
I’ve been gaming for 30 years, and have loved many games to come along in that time. But I recently discovered this absolute gem that has completely upended my top games. Gaslands is amazing. It’s easy to learn, has deep strategic decisions, lighthearted enough to be really fun, and has one of the coolest miniatures communities around. It plays with templates and dice, similarly to xwing, without the bloated cost. Gaslands can also be played several different ways or themes. There is literally no downside to getting into this fantastic wargame hobby. Pick up a few toy cars and you are good to go. Cannot recommend Gaslands enough. Thunder Up!!!

Game book for Gaslands.
I like this game book, it has templates in the back of the book. I can't get around to places, so I have to order everything online, it came on time, and was exactly how seller said. Thank you!

Great game
This game is tremendously fun. It's easy to learn for people of all ages and has optional hobby aspects to add lots of dimension to the gaming experience, if one wants, building terrain and modding out hot wheel scale cars. Awesome. Or play w cars out of the package on the kitchen table. It's great. The art is cool and immersive. The lore is creatively and simply game enhancing. Can I say it, I love Gaslands. Now, one star down for some careless lack of editing. It's simply inexcusable and too prevalent in the book. After the book was so highly anticipated, it's an avoidable let down. One more pass through with an editor spending just a couple hours would have made a world of difference. Oh well. Still well worth having.

More people should play this game
The book is much cheaper than I'd expect an equivalent game to be. It's also really economical to get started playing this game, all you need is some Hotwheels or Matchbox cars! GET IT!
