Body-Solid Cast Iron Olympic Single Weight Plate - Free Weights, Dumbbell Plates, 2 Inch Standard Hole for Barbell

When searching around, online and local stores, the prices on weights are ridiculous. I understand the process and of course the weight, but c'mon, some places charging $25 for ONE 2.5lb plate? Give me a break. When I found these, I was a little skeptical on the price, but figure not much to lose. The dudes shipped it out almost immediately after placing the order, and I got it like three days later, so pretty awesome there!The plates are as described, a matte black with bold white lettering. The poundage is pretty exact when testing on a scale, and it fit my olympic bar just fine with no scraping or no excess space.Not much else I can say about these other than I'm thoroughly impressed with the company and supplier. Will buy from again

Not happy with these 2.5 pound olympic plates for the following reasons:1. The weight is not 2.5 pounds. I ordered 2 of these, and one plate weighs 2.4 pounds, the other weighs 2.4125 pounds.2. The hole is larger than all my other olympic plates and it feels sloppy sliding onto the barbell.3. You will not receive what is pictured, so these plates don't match my other plates as expected.4. The paint flakes off easily causing me to question the durability of the finish.I measured the weight using a postage scale accurate to 0.1 ounce. Unfortunately, the cost to return these will eat up most of the refund, but will return them anyways. Please vote this review up so that more people can be aware of the quality issues and the misleading picture of the item.

The plates arrived to my home on time and in perfect condition. I have a backyard gym that is exposed to some elements. These plates have been in my possession for over a month. I waited to see how rough handling and the elements would treat these plates prior to writing a review. I do not slam my 45's down but have dropped them a couple of times, because of that there are minor pits to the plates. My workout floor is consisted of cinder block floors with little garden rocks to the front and dirt to the flank. The plates have been used on all three surfaces. I recommend these plates to any buyer that is in need of strong plates and who wants to workout without the distraction of a gym. Top quality.

Just like the plates at the gym. Yes the weights can be "slightly" loose on the bar. But this is just like the gym. They are supposed to be like that so you can slide them on and off.I don't use clips and they stay in place when I shoulder press, curl, bench, etc.Bottom line: Gym Quality Equipment. Very happy with the purchase(The only unhappy person was the UPS guy carrying it upstairs to my apartment lol)

I received a different product (description didn't specify diameter of plates) and had to pay for return costs which turned out to be more expensive than the weights themselves. Terrible.

I got 4 pairs of 45 lb plates, 1 pair of 25 lb plates, 2 pairs of 10 lb plates, 1 pair of 5 lb plates, and 1 pair of 2.5lb plates. It was delivered by roadrunner who called me a day before arrival to schedule a delivery date and the date of arrival to ensure I was at home. Plates are very sturdy and the black paint makes it look very professional. I don't have a good enough of a scale to check the calibration of these plates, so not sure of that aspect, but they feel about right.The one star I took off is due to the paint on the inside/hole of the plates. Because they painted the inside instead of just leaving it stainless steel or putting a stainless steel ring in there, they painted it, so every time I slide the plates onto the bar, it rubs the paint chips off, which leaves some residue on the bar and on the floor.

The plates I ordered arrived quickly and packaged efficiently. I brought the packages up into my room, and upon opening, find long strands of thick bunched up paper. They keep the weights from moving, but cause a temporary nuisance. These plates smell great out of the box. Something about that brand new factory smell, I love it. :) They were just what I ordered, just what I needed, and they work beautifully with my newly bought weight bench.

2.5 lb. Olympic Plate10 lb. Olympic PlateI purchased two 2.5lb and four 10lb plates hoping to add some more iron for my adjustable dumbbells, and being slightly OCD I was hoping they would be the exact plates as the ones they have advertised. I currently have a set of the Body-Solid plates that they have displayed in their picture, the one's that say "BARBELL" on them, but what I received were another, I'm guessing "newer", set of Body-Solid plates that they currently mass produce.The craftsmanship of these new plates is good if not better than the old plates, with exception to the hole, which is slightly bigger than all the plate holes I've ever loaded on my barbell. It's definitely a loose hole that makes my barbell feel thin, and I'm not sure how to feel about this. I like to imagine my barbell is the prefect fit for the plate hole.I would rate this 2.5 stars if I could, but I don't dislike the plates enough to rate them 2 stars, although I kind of feel I'm stuck with them now.I'm deducting points for the following reasons:-The product sold was not the one that was advertised, which is exactly what I needed, and now I have to buy two more 2.5lb plates.-The hole is too big, fits too loosely around my barbell-The price ($19 for a 10lb plate) could be a lot better
