LEKEYE Drain Hair Catcher/Bathtub Drain Cover/Drain Protector for Pop-Up & Regular Drains(Patented Product)

I bought this for my bathtub. It works great. It keeps the hair out. It stays in place and while my drain was a little clogged it hasn’t gotten any worse.

This is a great hair catcher!! The water drains right through it. It has some weight so it stays put over the drain. Very high quality construction.

Works well on my pop up tub drain. I like that it's weighted and no issues with water backing up. It is difficult to get small amount of hair from the raised bumps that help trap the hair. What works for me is to wait for more hair to accumulate and it easily pulls right off.

I have had this product, the Lekeye Drain Hair Catcher for about 10 days. It is wonderful. It catches my long hair 10X better than the plastic hair catcher I was using prior to this. At the end of my shower i pick up the hair that has been caught and it is tremendous, i actually have their to pick up!! My previous catcher barely caught any hair. So, I am impressed that my new Lekeye hair catcher now catches my hair and it doesn’t go down the drain. The bottom of the Lekeye Drain Hair Catcher is a soft, pliable rubber type material and it seals around the tiled floor in my shower. We have a pop-up drain stopper and hair catcher is tall enough to accommodate it’s height. The upper part of the hair catcher is metal and has all the little holes in it for the water to drain through is gentle on my feet. I accidentally slid my foot across it and it didn’t hurt at all. Even the little drain holes on the top part did not hurt; they are manufactured in a way that there are no sharp edges. Speaking of the drain holes, there are plenty of them so that the water drains quickly through it. There is no back up of water at all. I love this Lekeye Drain Hair Catcher and recommend it to all.

Excellent product. Keeps hair out of the bathtub drain. I also use them in my sinks. The newer stoppers are spring loaded and if there is water in the sink, you have to put your hands in the water to drain the sink. These are sturdy, seal nicely, and serve the purpose. (Also, no more lost contact lenses down the drain.)

I am not a frequent rater, but I spent some time with the two most popular drain covers for pop-up drains (OXO and Lekeye) and I wanted to share what I learned. The bottom line: neither is perfect, but I'm going to stick with the OXO. What I am looking for: --works with a pop-up drain (photo), TIE --stays put when showering, TIE --catches my hair (long straight caucasian hair), Lekeye wins by a little --allows water flow, Lekeye wins until there is a hair buildup (see details) --easy to clean, OXO wins by a landslide Longer version: I first bought the OXO for my new shower that I wanted to protect from hair clogs. I liked it, but every time I showered, there would be soapy water left standing at the end. This is because my hair would start to clog the bottom holes, and THERE ARE NO HOLES ON THE BASE (photo). I got into the habit of cleaning it off and then giving the shower a quick cold-water rinse, EVERY TIME I showered. It was fine, but I thought I could do better. So I bought the Lekeye because I could see that there are a lot more holes on the bottom part of the cover. Because of that, it does drain better than the OXO, especially at first. The issue is that the base is covered in little nubs (photo) to catch the hairs. And it does a great job of it! The problem is, I find it hard to get the hair off of the nubs. So I kept my habit of cleaning every time, but each day a little more hair would remain on the cover. So now, it no longer drains that well and is kind of gross after a few days of use. Bottom line: if you are concerned about your hair slipping through, the Lekeye is a more "sticky" cover. My hair is not particularly thick, though, and the OXO catches a ton of hair. I'm not concerned that much is getting through. But in the end, given that I need to clean both regularly, I'm going with OXO which is a quick wipe and then done. I still can't get the hair off the Lekeye to put it away. NOTE: I will pull out the Lekeye when it's time to give my new puppy a bath! So that might be important for some of you!

The only downside is that it needs to be cleaned after every shower, but that's expected with any hair trap. Fortunately, it's very easy to clean — just a quick rinse, and it's good to go again.
