Bluesky Gel Nail Polish Set, 9th Anniversary Set 4, 2 x 10ml, A044 Musk Pink, S06N Pink Gold, Glitter (Requires Curing Under UV LED Lamp)

YOU NEED TO HAVE A UV LAMP TO CURE THIS POLISH - IT WILL NOT SET ON ITS OWN This review is for Bluesky 9th Anniversary Set 4; Musk Pink & Pink Glitter. The pictures really do not do this colour justice as it is really lovely. The musk pink is a pinky purple with almost a slightly brown tone to it, which I suppose is best classed as a "nude" shade. If this colour was available as a lipstick, I would be looking to buy it as it is so pretty. Whereas 1 coat actually looked quite nice (and could possibly work as a base for a french polish), I applied 2 and got a nice even colour that isn't overly transparent. The glitter is a clear polish with pink glitter. I tried applying it on its own but didn't think the glitter was going to cover the nail well without leaving gaps, so applied a coat of the pink musk first & then 2 coats of the glitter. It now has a lovely coverage without being able to see my natural nail underneath. I think it would also look good as a single coat over another colour such as silver, black or white. Both colours were really smooth, easy to apply & cured very well under my lamp. For this application I used: Bluesky all in one base & topcoat Bluesky hard gel Bluesky Musk Pink/Pink Glitter Some of the pale colours can be quite transparent & hard to get good coverage without 3/4 coats - this particular shade, however, came out very well in just 2 coats but you could possibly apply 3 coats of colour if needed. I can see this being one of my go-to shades now as I am in love. I keep checking my nails out as I am so taken by how nice the colours are & I simply love the glitter as well as it goes so well with the pink musk. For anyone that likes subtle shades but maybe with a little glitz, this set is fabulous. It's ageless and would look great for all seasons. It's nice enough to look great with an expensive dress or jeans & a top - It dresses up & down. Totally recommend.

I’m a fan of Bluesky gel polish, after trying a couple of different budget brands over the years my conclusion is that Bluesky gels provide the best value for money. Whilst they are at the top end of my price preference they consistently provide good coverage which lasts well, I can get approximately 10 days out of a diy application before any peeling starts. I like this colour set but the pink is brighter than I expected, it’s not as dusky as I thought it would be, but it’s still pretty and the glitter colour compliments it well. I like it and so does my daughter, aged 11. Picture is of 2 coats (excuse my not very talented application!)

Love Bluesky gel polishes. Colours shown are Musk Pink and Pink Gold. I did 3 coats of Musk Pink then for the glitter fingers I did 1 coat of Musk Pink and 2 coats of Pink Gold. Standard Bluesky brush which is nice and narrow so allows a nice, neat application regardless of nail width. Nice viscosity to the polishes. Not too runny nor too thick. Please remember ladies to paint carefully and in thin coats and also invest in a good quality lamp (if not the brands compatible lamp) to ensure/help proper curing to help reduce your risk of allergies. I personally use a SUNUV lamp and I cure each thin coat of polish for 60 secs. With proper prep and thin coats my nails can last me 2+ weeks. Those not getting long lasting manicures? It’s not the product, it’s your prep and painting that needs finessing. I haven’t removed these nails as of yet but I’ll be honest, I’ve removed many a Bluesky manicure and some of these colours do not want to budge and I have occasionally caused a bit of damage to my nails. Don’t be like me. Instead of trying to scrape stubborn polish off, just give it a bit more of a file and soak again in more acetone until it can be pushed off the nail plate easily. All in all I love Bluesky polishes. They’re my favourite gel polishes available to home users and I highly recommend them.
