Frog and Toad Storybook Favorites: A Classic Friendship Story Collection for Children (Ages 4–8) (I Can Read Level 2)

These are adorable short short stories with lovely illustrations for young kids. My three and five year old love them. We have read the whole thing cover to cover multiple times and they talk about the characters even when we are not reading. This edition is particularly good quality with the hard cover and thick paper.

I loved these books when I was younger and my 7yo loves the humor of these stories. This collection of 20 stories (4 books in 1) is a great value for the cost. The quality of the book is excellent, the illustrations beautiful, and each page even has green leaves down the sides for an extra pop of color. We read these often! This is a great addition to our home library, and would also make an excellent gift.

The book is of good quality and contains all of the Frog and Toad books. Pages are slightly glossy unlike the much rougher pages of the older books. Also it's larger and better for you to be able to read with your little one together.

The Frog and Toad story books have been around since my daughter was little…over 30 years ago. She loved them, and now I am giving my three year old grandson one for his birthday. He will love the stories, and the terrific pictures on every page. The faces are adorable, and I am sure we will be reading this book over and over to him until he knows the stories by heart. He loves his colorful books, and is quite gentle with the pages. He also takes care of them, and puts them back on his bookshelf almost every day. This story book has a quality hard cover, and even includes some fun stickers. These characters are still loved by many. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Great book, bought it to read my childhood stories to my daughter. Discovered a new story in it last night.

The hardcover book looks fancy and the stories are very simple for the kids. My kid is 4.5 years old and loves it.

This is one of my favorite childhood books. Although I’m a little older now, I still enjoy reading the books I grew up with. Oh, the nostalgia. This book series deserved a collective edition. The watercolor paper texture of the book adds to the charm of the series. The texture is on the actual hardcover book itself (no dust cover). The book is designed passionately. If you love this series, this is the best version to obtain and enjoy for years to come!

Book arrived in good condition with only minor dent on cover. The book and illustrations are exactly as I remember them when I was read to as a child. I can’t wait to share these stories with another generation.

Hier handelt es sich um die englische Originalfassung der "Frosch und Kröte" Bücher. In diesem Hardcover Sammelband sind alle vier Bücher aus der Reihe vereint, in einem großen Format mit hochwertigem Druck und Papier. Die wunderschönen Zeichnungen des Autors, die ich so liebe, kommen hier besonders zur Geltung. Die Kurzgeschichten um die beiden etwas unterschiedlichen Freunde sind herzerwärmend und Balsam für die Seele. Ich möchte dieses Buch nicht mehr hergeben und freue mich sehr, dass ich es habe kaufen können und kann es jedem nur ans Herz legen.

I loved this book, LOVED. Wasnt preachy, all about family, just cute simple stories. We read 2 stories a day for like week and a half. Great hardcover, great price, quality. Reading for our almost 3.5 year old. I would gift this, age 3 and up. Toddler loved it. I know she doesnt grasp alot of it but we both enjoyed this. I wish there was more books out there like this. I bought on sale brand new 15 bucks canadian, 4 books and multiple stories within each book. Also SAHM, homeschooling future mom, hobby farm mom. Love the nature books. Other fantastic books we have "I think I can" train book (great life lesson), Britta Tellencamp (Moon/Ocean/Bee) books, To the moon and back, Why Giraffes cant Dance etc... but for bigger lengthier books this would be my top so far. Otherwise I have cute really old Disney stories "goody tends the garden" "scamp to the rescue" type books. But I would like more of this, specially a series. Our next will be starting the "Sophie mouse" chapter books so we will see how it goes and eventually I want to buy Mercy Watson. I like animal books, not preachy, not all about family, not cheesy, not ALL life lessons. Im not intrigued by what most ppl like. Not interested in Ivy and Bean or whatever that is, Princess in Black... Anyway... regardless of what we like. Id buy this, id gift this, if I lost this book or infant wrecks it, I would repurchase it.

Ho acquistato questo libro per il mio interesse suscitato da alcune illustrazioni di Lobel (prima illustratore, poi autore). Scritto in un inglese semplice e apparentemente infantile queste storie ci dimostrano come la vita semplice, quella di tutti i giorni, possa in sé celare aspetti ancora rilevanti in età adulta e riflessioni che non ci si aspetterebbe da un libro di bambini. L’edizione è immacolata, bellissima impaginazione e testo abbastanza grande per poter avviare un bambino alla lettura.
