Enterprise class drives. It's worth it for your home NAS.
I got 4 of these to put in my new Synology 923+ NAS. They went in just fine and are working just beautifully. They are a tad noisy than my last set however. Not bad, but I am right next to the wiring closet where the NAS and routers are. And I head this one over the old one. If you were more than 10 feet away, not a problem. Don't stick them in your living room where you are watching movies, That's all I'm saying. Oh, as a note, Synology has NO third party drives on their accepted list for the 923+ (these drives are on the approved list for the 918+) so there was a message about non-compatible drives, but I whack a mole'd right past that.

Works but needs additional mods to operate
Drive came as advertised, 4.9 years of power on time. NOTE: These are pulls from other appliances, you will need to do the 3.3v hack to see it in something like TrueNAS

Great PLEX Drives!
I bought two of the 8TB drives part number ending in ...604 signifying they are not the power disable version. I put one in a QNAP TR-002 direct attached storage bay for my PLEX back up. It spun up and formatted fine. I cloned my PLEX drive to it and all it well. It does make a little noise when accessing or writing but I'm not at all concerned. My second drive I just received and installed in my full tower. It will replace my current PLEX media drive and is in the process of being cloned. This drive is dead quiet! I would almost think it isn't running if it weren't getting cloned right now. Overall I'm very satisfied with both drives and the two year warranty gives me peace of mind.

Amazing so far, I ordered a few more
No problems at all. I love WD drives! Never have issues with them. Unlike Seagate drives that go down on me all the time.

Don't take a chance.
Started to not work almost immediately. No response from company at least I didn't think so. It went to spam. When I found on accidently I contacted them and no response. They seemed to want to work with us but they didn't follow through. Expensive to take a chance on renewed..
