great quality, tough, and priced fairly.
The leash, with matching collar are strong, and durable. They are tough enough to hold up to our rotweillers constant pulling, tugging, and attempts at chewing on them. So far out of all the expensive name brand products we have bought these are the only leashes, and collars she has not destroyed. I would definitely but them again, and recommend them to anyone with a large, powerful dog.

Perfect leash!
Great leash! Beautiful, very long. Nice quality, sturdy. You can adjusted in different ways. super cool! On the video I use it as double leash, attached on the front of the harness and on his back and it really helps walking him and keeping him walking straight, also prevents the leash to be getting under his paws, and makes it shorter leash if you need it to be that way. One side of the leash is light refle! Very cool. The harness and the collar also have that.

Looks good, built tough
I found the collar in a local store and then got the matching leash on Amazon. The little trigger latch to hook up to the collar is great. Once you get the hang of it much easier to unhook the leash at the end of a walk vs trying to slide the little metal knobs on other leashes. It looks great. I got the wine color. It has a little sliding anchor in the middle of the leash so if you don't have a collar you can use the leash as the collar in a choker chain set up. Likewise, you can use that same sliding anchor to put the leash around your waist for hands free use or could hook it to your belt loop. Very sturdy and well built.

Don’t use the trigger clasp with the Journeyman Harness
I was going to return this at first. I purchased this to use with the Carhartt Journeyman Harness. When I attached to the harness using the trigger clasp, it quickly detached because the two attachment rings put pressure on clasp, pulled it apart and freed my dog. After playing with the leash a bit, I was able to use it when I attached the lead to the harness using the carabiner end, made a loop in the leash to pull thru the sliding D-ring to create a big open hand hold, and attaching the trigger-clasp end to the top two rings of the harness just to get that clasp out of the way. The result was a front leading harness with another point of contact at the top. This shortens the lead to a little under four feet which is nice, but having a big loop in the lead might not be your ideal way to walk your pet. I uploaded a video to show how I do this. I will say, that even when we walk like this (and there is little or no pressure on the trigger clasp attached to the top of the harness since the carabiner attached to the front is doing most of the work) the trigger clasp will often pull apart and I will discover at the end of the walk that he’s only been attached to one ring of the harness the entire time we’ve been out. My dog is generally good on walks and doesn’t pull unless we see a squirrel or feral cat - then it’s game over. I wouldn’t even feel safe attaching that trigger clasp to just one ring on a collar. It doesn’t seem to take much pressure at just the right angle to pull it apart. Nice aesthetic, poor design. I have purchased the other Journeyman lead from carhartt that only has the carabiner style clasp for my dog walker to use so he doesn’t have to jury rig my dog with this lead when he takes him out. I like the look of this lead. I like that it is reflective and double layered. It seems durable, even the hardware. I don’t think I received a defective trigger clasp - I just think it’s the design and that just the right angle will cause it to open. I can even insert my index finger thru the clasp and pull up to cause the clasp to open without pushing on the trigger. If I can, so can the ring of the collar attached to my 70lb pit bull.

This is our favorite leash ever!
We love this leash so much we bought a second one! It's so handy! The upper clip allows you to wrap the leash on a tree if camping or hiking and taking a quick break. It's fantastic, well built, durable against the strongest of puppy teeth and is just all around fantastic!

The best collar and leash
I have had so many leashes that my dogs have ripped apart but this one is seriously amazing. The color is out there but at least I know my dog and where he is! It had a light reactive side which is super nice for walking at night! Carhartt leashes are seriously unmatched and so cute if you get the matching collar

Great quality
Love this leash. Well made and durable. I was a little worried about some of the reviews about the clasp mechanism but I haven't had any issues with it and it has held up very well so far with our growing 80lb boy. It's comfortable to hold and the reflective side is nice. I will note that there isn't any give/flex if your dog pulls but I wasn't looking for that anyway.
