Polarized Men's and Women's Red Sands Rectangular Sunglasses

After squinting my way through golf rounds and getting told by my dermatologist that I needed better protection for the skin under my eyes, I decided to invest in a good pair of sunglasses. I must have spent HOURS researching, and finally narrowed it down to the Maui Jim Red Sands or the Oakley Portal X. The Maui Jims are more expensive but generally considered the highest quality. At first I was concerned about the fact that they were polarized, which can interfere with depth perception on the greens, but the reviews said Maui Jim has special polarized lenses that actually work well on the golf course. Having tried them out I can say that's a fact.I wanted the HCL bronze lenses because they are supposed to be the best for golfing, but they were sold out on the Maui Jim website, so I found them here. I was a little apprehensive because Amazon is developing a reputation for selling knockoffs or used items as new, but happy to say that wasn't the case here. The glasses I got were brand new, in perfect condition and in the original box.And they are marvelously light and stay on my face with no problem even when I'm sweating profusely. I think you could even go jogging in these if you wanted.Very pleased!

These glasses are perfect for a giant head (size 8, which translates to a XXXXL). As such, they do not look as good on a small head. Makes people look like they are children wearing their parents sunglasses. But, for larger faces they look fantastic and feel amazing.Lens quality is excellent, clarity is fantastic. They seem really durable and are very scratch resistant.One other thing, I like to wear the Deep Woods bug spray (100% deet) and that stuff is CAUSTIC. Makes my lips go numb. It's freaking awesome. Anyway, I've had it eat through camera backs, cell phone cases, hats and a ton of cheap sunglasses. Literally melted the stem off one of them. However, these glasses seem to handle it fine. The rubber doesn't melt and the plastic doesn't die. I know that doesn't matter to most people, but it does speak to the quality of their materials. It will definitely hold up to sweat and the toll of time.Overall, excellent glasses.

Had to get rid of my D&G glasses after 5 years due to scratching. These look pretty good too, though much lighter and best of all they actually stay in place where as my others constantly slid down my face due to the material.I also like that things don’t really get super dark when I wear these. Not like other sunglasses I’ve had. I can see pretty well. And again, they don’t fly off in my jeep when I have the windows down.So I’m happy with these for the next 5 years.

Shoot, the darn things really work. I have a killer drive in the morning, straight on into rising sun. I googled best sunglasses, bought these but wasn't optimistic. I tried this morning, and they really work. I'm sure others are good but these work.

This is my first pair of Maui Jims and I’m astonished at how low quality these are. Thin plastic, light weight to the point of being flimsy, and not a true mirrored finish (you can basically see straight through them, it’s like a medium tint rather than a mirrored reflection). I cannot believe people pay $200+ for these sunglasses - they feel comparable in quality to the beater shades I used to buy from Blenders in college but have a fancy logo on the side and are made from marginally nicer plastics.It seems the days of durable, sturdy and long-lasting sunglasses are long gone. It’s a shame that the pair of RayBan wayfarers I found on the ground a decade ago are still the most rugged and well-built sunglasses I own. Sad, but there’s no chance I’m shelling out $200+ for this junk.

So far so good. The fit is great. Very light. My only concern is they seems very flimsy. For $230 I was expecting something a little more solid. Also the case that comes with these is very cheap. Time will tell. Overall I would recommend.

Durable, polarized, scratch resistant, we have re-purchased several times over the last 15 years and its not from lack of quality. They are comfortable and we love the color

Amazing sunglasses! The double Hd polarization brings an exaggerated image of the world around you! Saltwater proof!!! Wear while on the beach or in it! They actually helped me see through my windshield better driving through REALLY bad thunder storm. Lifetime Warranty!! Lens cracked send it back.. Maui Jim are my go too sunglasses, absolute best for literally anything! Fishing? they remove the glare off the water and let you see the fish your trying tackle. This is my second pair of Maui's only because I lost my first pair.... But every lens on any style are the same, so what ever swag is Maui Jim has a style to fit your style. I am 100% a consumer and not affiliated with Maui Jim whatsoever (had to throw that in there, because my description sounds like a sales pitch, I'm a floor man and would love to receive some free Maui's haha) I paid full price. That just goes to show Maui Jim's "Sales Pitch" isn't one at all... its the COLD HARD TRUTH my friends!!
