Eigentlich für Kinder gedacht – Weihnachten für Erwachsene
Man kauft so ein K’NEX-Set mit Autos normalerweise mit einer klaren Vorstellung: Ein Kind sitzt auf dem Teppich, steckt begeistert Teile zusammen und fährt stolz seine ersten selbstgebauten Fahrzeuge durchs Wohnzimmer. Nun ja – mein dreijähriger Neffe war dafür schlicht noch etwas zu klein. Die Teile, die Verbindungen, das Prinzip dahinter – alles ein bisschen zu komplex für kleine Hände und noch kleinere Geduld. Doch Weihnachten nahm eine unerwartete Wendung: Mein Bruder entdeckte das Set. Was folgte, war ein erstaunlich konzentrierter Bastelabend. Zahnräder, Stäbe, Verbindungen – Stück für Stück entstanden tatsächlich ziemlich beeindruckende kleine Autos. Und während mein Neffe irgendwann wieder zu seinen einfacheren Spielsachen zurückkehrte, saß mein Bruder noch immer am Tisch und baute weiter. Am Ende war das Fazit eindeutig: Für Dreijährige vielleicht noch zu früh – für bastelbegeisterte Erwachsene hingegen ein überraschend unterhaltsames Weihnachtsgeschenk.
