YETI Daytrip Packable Lunch Bag, Navy

I'm loving this thing more and more every day. Initially, however, I wasn't so sure. Some of the complaints about size and not keeping things cold had me a little worried. What I would say is this. If you are looking for something to take a lunch to work (i.e. a lunch sack), where the Daytrip will sit in a mostly controlled environment but not a refrigerator, then this works great. I pack my lunch the night before, put into the refrigerator with a 2lb Yeti ice, take it out at 6am and go to work. At noon, my lunch is still cold and the Yeti ice is still about half frozen. After eating, I close up and when I get home at about 5pm, the Yeti ice still has a little slush in it. So this works perfectly for my routine. If you work outdoors in the heat and the Daytrip will be sitting out in the sun, then this probably isn't for you. In that case, you should be looking for a cooler (maybe a Flip 8). As for size, if you are trying to take two meals, drinks and snacks, yes, it is too small. If you are taking a meal with a drink and maybe some snacks, there is plenty of room if you give a little thought about how to pack (in other words, don't just throw everything in there). While the size does work, I would like to see Yeti make another model that is slightly larger to allow for lunch and a a couple drinks or multiple Tupperware containers, and has a pocket for silverware and napkins. Other than that, this thing is very durable and will last a long time. I would purchase again.

I gifted this to my husband and he loves it! He had always wanted a yeti lunch box, but never would buy himself one. It keeps items cold well and can fold down into his bag when he is done so it is also handy too! This is a great purchase and a good value. The size was perfect for him and I can clean it easily. Looks nice too!

Works great to keep your food cold or hot however it’s a bit space constrained so makes it hard to fit things like small bento boxes in it.

This lunch box is the perfect size. It folds flat when not in use, it’s durable, lightweight, and the color is great. Perfect for work days and road trips. Keeps everything cold, and the magnets to close means no zipper to break.

Ever since I switched to Yeti products I have not regretted my decision. I have to say, it is no different with the lunchbox. I wish the capacity was a little better so I was able to hold a few more items, but for storing a lunch and maybe a drink or two together, it works great. It packs away really nice, but it is a little hard to fold up. I think the footprint is the ideal size to hold a lot, but not take up too much room in the break room fridge or communal storage. it also keep your items cool with or without an icepack. It is preferred to use an icepack to keep the overall temperature down, but I kept it cool for about 4 hours without ice or a cooling solution.

I got tired of carrying my lunch to work in a grocery bag but had never found a simple compact tote that I liked. This does the job very well, throw an ice pack in and it will keep whatever you need cool all day. Compact in size so packing something large might be a challenge but certainly suits my needs.

Got those ice packs, put two in there and I have cold drinks all day and lunch is fridge cold when I eat it. I don’t have to use the company fridge anymore- just keep it as my desk with my snacks and drinks handy. Exactly the performance I have come to expect from YETI. I am looking forward to see how it does in summertime situations for a few drinks/snacks on the go.

This is the best lunch bag I've ever bought. It's rugged and durable and should last forever. Some have complained that it doesn't work like a cooler... It's a lunch bag. it's insulated but it's not going to hold up against a hot day like a cooler. I bought a couple yeti ice packs of differing sizes to use depending on what I'm packing. I usually keep it in a back park and that combo is enough to keep things really cold. It's expensive but I've wasted more money buying cheap lunch bags that are either awkward or just fall apart right away.

I carry my lunch to work every day and got tired of using cheap insulated lunch bags with velcro closures that were always pulling fully or partially open while carrying, thus failing to keep my lunch cold. Most of the better quality insulated lunch bags online were zippered on the side. This would make the opening larger when unzipped but it also means that when you lift and carry them by the handle the contents falls to the bottom of the bag. The YETI bag keeps the top-loading and top-carrying design of the cheap lunch bags but the quality of the design and materials is impressive. The YETI insulated lunch bag is a quality bag with a double closure system, a hidden wide magnetic strip that seals the throat of the bag tightly keeping the cold in, and a metal slip-catch that folds the top of the bag down over the contents. The slip-catch can be slid under one of several loops at different heights making it adjustable. The bag works perfectly for me. The quality of materials and construction is excellent. The size is also perfect for my single-person lunch needs. I took off one star because of the price. I would expect to pay more for this bag than other typical insulated bags but I think $99 is a bit overpriced. Having said that..... I'm still happy that I purchased it.
