Works great for small breeds or finishers. Large breeds or mature breeding stock have a hard time getting their stout in there -- we still have to use an alternate water source for them. Float valve is easily adjustable.

Sorry we can't get the bottom that matches the tank. What the heck

The assembly was quite challenging for me as my arms are too short to reach the inside bottom. Also the troughs are a bit small for my Boar and Sow. The weaners were fine with it tho.

Great design. However, cleanout stopper come out too easily. Perhaps a locking lip at bottom of rubber stoppers or a squeeze lock design like they use in boat cleanout stoppers is the answer.

I bought this after reading a recommendation by Joel Salatin. Have used it one season and been thrilled. No more pigs bathing in their drinking water or dumping it all out. Still gets amazingly muddy just from their snouts. We had some trouble getting the fill valve set right but once we did, it was perfect. I say was because we took it in for the winter and haven't put it back out yet. The one flaw is that large rubber stoppers are used to close the three drain holes and if you lose one, as we have, you can't use it until they are replaced. I suggest buying some spares with the drinker and that the drinker manufacturer should sell extra plugs to make replacement easier. The size is good - I can move the drinker alone, which is nice.

Now I don't have to worry about my pastured hogs running out of water! Works great. Easy to clean and has a low enough center of gravity that the pigs have not tipped it over when almost empty.
