Great product. Exactly as described with a strong hold. Used it to hold a holiday banner onto garage door. It held through the heat and strong wind gusts.

But it appears that the shielding part is made of stainless steel which does not conduct a magnetic field very well. The only reason this matters is in the way I use these. I've tied them to winter golf tees, rubber tees with various heights. If the shiny side is up there is very little magnetic pull, needs to be flipped over to pick the tees up. I'm well into my 70's and need every convenience I can find! Other than that these are well made. I think I'll heat one up and see if I can break the glue bond holding the two pieces together.

Bought these as incremental weights on my adjustable dumbbells. Goal was to add 2.5 lbs, because my dumbbells only adjust at 5 lb increments. Got a pair of 4.9" magnets, they weigh 1.6 lbs each, and a pair of 3.2" magnets, which weigh 0.8 lbs each. So now depending on what I'm lifting, I can customize my 20 lb dumbbell to 21.6, 22.4, or 24.2 lbs by attaching these magnets. They're strong magnets so I don't have to worry about them falling off while I lift, but I can slide them off the end easy enough.
