Who is the maker? Made in China?

It’s st my worksite and I’m not sure ........what I can say is that I’m a contractor and this gas torch is a well built, solid piece of kit that I love using....it’s responsive and comfortable to hold, even with a full gas load.

are these Bernzomatic TS8000 knock-offs as good as the real thing?

Mine arrived in pieces which could not be re-assembled. The set screw heads were broached off center from the factory and snapped leaving no way to extract it without drilling and re-tapping the hole to a bigger size. Never got it back together. Sent it back for a refund.

Is the flame a swirl flame or a pencil tip? How small and tight a point can the flame make?

pencil,as for small and tight never gave it a thought. you can't use it for small electronics but it is excelent for plumbing as good as the name brand out there
