Remmington Heavy Duty Bookcase - Oak

I have put together many pieces of furniture made of cheap veneer furniture. This was by far the easiest. While this bookcase is not made of solid wood, it has a very nice finish, almost vinyl like. I received it quickly and it took about 1/1/2 hour to assemble. The pieces were packed nicely, no chips or dents. The pieces were all clearly marked an extra bag of hardware was included. All the pieces fit together well and the cam holes are all reinforced. Also included was hardware to keep it from tipping over if you have small children. I could not be happier with the finished product.

I've just opened the carton and it is not oak. It is reddish-brown. Not as dark as cherry. But definitely not a natural oak finish. I've never seen oak this red.

Relatively easy to assemble, has reinforced shelving, and the quality of the case is typical Chinese made material.
