Works great!
Nice to find a simple, useful tool that actually works well. This makes tying a leader to braided line with an FG knot fast and easy.

Game changer!
What a difference this makes! So easy to use with a little practice and a YouTube video showing the steps. It truly is a game changer for the FG knot.

The best tool for the best braid to fluoro knot
I've found nothing as good as the FG knot for braid to fluoro connections, and nothing that comes close to the Daiichi Seiko tool for tying it. I tie FG knots much quicker and more reliably with this tool, using 30 to 40 pound braid and 12 - 20 pound fluorocarbon leaders. FYI: I needed to first understand the FG knot, and after that how to use the tool to tie the knot. I climbed my learning curve by watching you tube videos. Once I understood both the knot and the tool, it took me a two or three practice tries before I could use the tool to reliably tie strong FG knots. (I tested the knots at home with weights.) Finally, I don't like the high price or long shipping times, and I would buy a cheaper, more readily available alternative if I could find one. But I haven't found one yet, so for now it's the Daiichi Seiko tool for me.

Knot Assist 2.0-The instructions for use are all in Asian languages NO English made in Japan
NO English use instructions, all in Asian languages. Found YouTube videos on how to use. Well made, durable works as advertised saves alot of time and fumbling around trying to keep the lines tight. can do an FG knot in a minute or less.

Perfect for tying the FG knot in very thin fishing line!
This thing works great! Ok, here’s the basics. I’m 63 and fishing is my most cherished hobby. I wanted to up my game a lot, so I started using braided line with monofilament backing and fluorocarbon leaders. All of this involved tying the FG knot, which I never heard of until very recently. Well, there are really good videos out there on how to tie it using 3 fingers, and they appear to work great. But, NOT WITH VERY LIGHT FISHING LINE! All these videos involved 50lb or even 100lb line and I simply couldn’t make it work with what I’m using. My line is too thin and flimsy. So I opened the package of this Knot Assist 2 and gave it a try. The first knot went pretty well (had to watch a video or two), but the 2nd one went much faster and even faster. Hey, look folks, I’m using 8x 10lb braided line with 8lb fluorocarbon and 12lb monofilament, and this device made the FG knot very easy to tie. I will have no issues using it along a riverbank or lake edge this spring. I’m very glad I bought it!

very easy to use and with effort you will be able to tie the FG knot quickly
I received the product and watched a few videos my first 2 attempts looked horrible and were weak. the 3rd attempt came out much better and stronger. it took a couple of hours but i finally feel like i can tie the FG knot and not worry about it failing. Highly recommend this product

Knot Assist 2.0 for the WIN!!
I’ve watched pretty much all the videos available on youtube on this product and how to tie the FG knot. I can tie an FG knot but my number one problem is keeping tension on the braided line when I’m looping the leader around. After receiving the product I tried making the FG with 80lb braid and 25lb mono just for fun. On most of the videos I’ve seen they don’t serve the knot after the first half hitch. They don’t serve it at all which ticks me off haha. So after I did my first half hitch; I took the braided and leader off the Knot Assist 2.0. This is where I proceeded to serve the knot (pull hard on the braided end and the leader end as hard as you can). Even though the knot was already tight before serving; the braid really bites down even more on the mono when you add moderate pressure when serving. Careful not to cut your hands when using thinner lines. After the first half hitch and serving the knot I did 5 alternating half hitches finished with a 6 wrap rizzuto. FIRST TRY and it came out perfect!

Good in principal, but not for smaller Fluorocarbon/Braid with large hands
I was excited to see this tool because my 3XL hands and age (65) make it difficult for me to freehand tie an FG knot. Unfortunately, this tool was worse! It's too small for large hands - particularly when trying to tie a 7lb Sunline FC fluorocarbon leader to Berkley 15lb X9 braid for using the drop-shot. The line is too small and flimsy to use this tool one-handed - you have to use the other hand to hold the tool while trying to wrap the hardly visible and flimsy leader while also holding tension on the knot. I gave up after several tries and bought an electric knot tying device which sucked worse. I've landed on a 3D-printed Wishbone tool that has a mount for a bench, or you can secure it between your legs allowing you to use both hands to tie the knot. I still need to use a blunt needle to tie thin line with that! Other than that, the tool is well made and locks the line in its clamps well.

Excellent outil
