PlanToys Activity Boat

Pros: Most of the boat is made out of Plan Toys' pressed eco-friendly material. The binder makes it waterproof and perfect for bath play. The little fisherman, mast, and wood stand for the fishhook are regular wood. The fisherman is painted. I don't anticipate any problems with the toy not drying out, but I am pretty careful about placing drying bath toys so they can fully dry.On a related note, this toy is easy to keep clean. The only crevices are the little post holes where the mast and the wood hook post attach. The boat dries fast and doesn't have spots with puddles to fester and mold.Overall, except for the cons below, I think this toy is just really well designed and a good choice for simple, open-ended bath play.Cons: The posts are really hard to push into the holes. My daughter is not hard on toys, so no problems with the posts snapping off, but I could see a rough kid easily snapping them.The smoothness of the hull of the boat which makes it easy to keep clean also means the spots for the fisherman to stand and the green top to stay in place are not as pronounced as they could be. They don't click into place, and the poor fisherman is always falling over without provocation. When my daughter adds a fish/starfish/turtle to the boat, the poor guy doesn't have a chance and ends up pushed under the green part. She doesn't seem to mind, just something to be aware of.

Great idea and wonderful that it is made with recycled materials but come on . . . This boat doesn't float!! At least not for very long. We've used it twice now as a demonstration of how a boat can sink or capsize. It also weighs a TON and the parts don't stay together well. Simply a total disappointment!

Plan toys are top quality toys for your little ones. Very disappointed that all the pieces were not in the box. The sail was missing.

I wish I read the reviews before buying. This thing isn’t buoyant at all. Such a waste of money.

The overall quality and sturdiness and appeal of this toy appeared to be fine, BUT it was impossible to fit the mast of the sail or the end of the "fishing hook" into the holes designed for them as the plastic "knobs" were too large for the holes. (The "knob" on the end of the mast actually broke off when we tried to insert it in the hole.) VERY disappointing!!! It was also annoying that the green top for the boat was just loose, so it would not stay on the hull at all. Not well-designed!

Greet top doesn’t stay on, orange fisherman falls of the second you put him in the boat, and boat sinks after 5 seconds. Why would someone approve this toy? It’s horrible.

The posts that hold the hook and sail aren't very durable-- the first one broke on day one, we returned it, and now the second one is broken two weeks later. The blue-green cover doesn't snap into place, so it constantly falls off while the kids are playing with it. The little person is made of unsealed wood, so it isn't suitable for bath tub play. Overall, this toy has been a total bummer.

… leider ging es am Geburtstag (2 Jahre) direkt nach dem 1 Spielen kaputt. Der Mast ist abgebrochen obwohl niemand stark gerüttelt hat. Boot ist ab 2 Jahren, müsste eigentlich mehr aushalten. Hatten uns so gefreut, endlich ein nachhaltiges Badespielzeug. Naja, Rücksendung war reibungslos.

Sehr fertig. Kann man nix falsch machen. Ohne den Schriftzug auf dem Segel würde ich mir noch besser gefallen. Kinder stören sich daran aber nicht.

This is a beautiful toy. I'm not sure who loves it more, me or my son. Beware, it's quite heavy.
