Perfect flow and power for my 12x12x24 tank
Wrote a review for my fountain and thought this info would be good for someone looking for the power of this pump or how to build a terrarium with this pump. Just copied and pasted, that's why the wording is more towards the fountain. Hope this helps! Also I have this pump set on the medium setting, which is perfect. I noticed no noise from the pump itself. My tank size is 12x12x24 and this pump works perfect with perfect flow of water that I was looking for. Built a bioactive terrarium/vivarium for my crested rainforest gecko. Wanted a fountain to cycle the water through the substrate and also act as a water dish for my little guy. This was perfect. I installed a 95 GPH pump in the substrate so it would have enough power to give it a 2.5 foot lift (I doubt the pump it came with would have the power for what I needed). I was able to connect the tubing of my pump to the original tubing of the fountain so aesthetically it would appear to function how it was designed with the water coming out and flowing how it is shown. Setting it up with the higher powered pump allows the water in the substrate to get filtered all the way through the system to clean and maintain the water, while allowing it to flow out of the front of the fountain so I don't have to ever clean my gecko's "water dish". It also maintains the humidity of my tank and waters my plants. I took netting and wrapped a ball of small rocks. I placed the ball directly under the front of the fountain going out a few inches. Then I put a small layer of soil over them and covered it with a plant that likes to be continually wet. The rocks allow the water to flow through without soaking the surrounding soil so that my other plants don't get overwatered. I hope all of this makes sense because this is the kind of info I was looking for when I was trying to figure out how to build my vivarium. I really like that this fountain looks very natural while also having the small "pond" at the bottom. I found it to be the perfect size for my tank which is 12x12x24. It's pretty quiet, a small tinkling like you are somewhat close to a small stream. With my tank door closed I can hardly hear it. If you are looking for a fountain for your tank, this is perfect in appearance and function! This pump functioned exactly as I was hoping it would! I can't imagine how many pounds it is buried under and it pumps like it's was made for that kind of pressure. Last pics shows all the weight the pump is under and how it still works great under all that.

Small and quiet but great power
Bought for my cats water intake. The lowest setting gets the water moving enough for them to take interest. Its quiet, decent sized for a medium-ish bowl and works great so far

Perfectly replacement for tiny Fluval tanks
I have a small 2.6 gallon Fluval Betta tank that I use to hatch eggs or as a quarantine tank. The pump stopped working so I ordered this and it’s a perfect replacement. It includes an adapter for the 1/2” hose. I didn’t know if it would or not because it wasn’t in the photos so I was pleasantly surprised.

Great for a DIY Diorama Project
I picked up the PULACO 95GPH Mini Water Pump for a fun, free DIY project—a small diorama with a water feature—and it turned out surprisingly nice! As someone who enjoys tinkering, I wanted a compact pump to add a realistic water flow, and this little unit delivered. I’ve been using it for about a week now, and here’s my take. My Experience The pump was easy to set up for my diorama. The water hose connector slid smoothly into the hole, making it simple to route the tubing for a small waterfall effect. It runs quietly and moves water at a steady 95GPH, which was perfect for the scale of my build. The flow isn’t overpowering, so it didn’t flood the setup, and the adjustable feature let me fine-tune it. It’s been reliable so far, keeping the water circulating without issues. What I Liked • Ease of Use: The hose connector was a breeze to install, and the compact size fit my diorama perfectly. • Quiet Operation: Barely noticeable, which is great for a display piece. • Versatility: Works well for small aquariums, ponds, or DIY projects like mine. • Value: At a reasonable price, it’s a solid pick for a free project. What Could Be Better • Cord Length: The power cord is a bit short, so I needed an extension for my setup. • Durability: It’s too early to tell how long it’ll last with continuous use. • Flow Control: The adjustment could be more precise for very fine tuning. • Instructions: Setup was intuitive, but clearer directions would help beginners. Who This Is For This pump is ideal for hobbyists or anyone doing small-scale projects like dioramas, mini ponds, or hydroponics. It’s not meant for large setups, but for a creative, low-budget build, it’s a great choice. Pair it with a proper container and tubing for best results. Final Thoughts The PULACO Mini Pump made my diorama project a success, with an easy-to-use hose connector and steady water flow that added a nice touch. It’s not flawless—the short cord and basic controls are minor downsides—but it’s perfect for a free, fun build. I’d recommend it for similar DIYers, and I’ll update if anything changes with long-term use. Disclaimer: I purchased this product myself and have no affiliation with PULACO. Ensure proper setup and safety when using electrical devices near water.
