Great series for young readers! It keeps my seven year-old grandson into his books! I am entertained by them as well. He is reading above his grade level at age 7. He is in first grade. But definitely, they inspire him to read.

My son loves these books. He is the least likely of my kids to pick up a book and he asks me to order the bad guys books for him. He has been reading them since the first one came out. He says they are hilarious. And I have a sneaking suspicion he'll be reading these well past the age range for the books.

This whole series is silly, funny, and fun to read! My daughter and son love it. It has fart jokes which make them both die, so if you don’t want your kids hearing them it may not be a good fit. It’s very kid friendly and has an underline meaning of even those who make mistakes (“are bad”) can change. It’s super light hearted. The characters all shine with their own personalities.

My 6.5 year old son LOVES the Bad Guy books which has sparked a love of books for him. The only issue I have with these books is saying “unkind” words like dumb, stupid, sucks, etc but it was a great opportunity to teach him that he is going to hear unkind words like this all the time and it’s all how he reacts. We need to teach our children how to react in situations instead of running to tell a parent/teacher a book says stupid. Teaching them young will hopefully help as they get older. When I was young, they were BAD words and I would get in trouble if I said them but I didn’t understand why they were bad words. As I got older, I was more tempted to use those words because they were outlawed. Kids ask a million questions because they WANT to learn and it’s up to us adults to teach them why the world is the way it is without 100% sugarcoating it.

I’m a teacher and i bought these for my classroom. My 2nd grade students absolutely LOVE these books. They are never on the shelf. They are written in a comic book style- photos with short phrases and quotes that tell the story. It’s the classic bad guys who are horrible at being bad guys type of book. I also love that even my lower readers can still get meaning from the photos and my higher readers can catch the sarcasm and deeper level jokes and understandings so these span many ages!

This was a very exciting book for my 7yr old. He laughed and zoomed through reading the book.

My kids love this series. I don’t even know how many times they read each book. The plot is engaging and puns are funny.

My 7-year old son LOVES these books! He’s read the whole series! If your child likes tame potty humor this series is a huge hit! It’s great for beginning chapter book readers - there’s a great mix of text and comic style illustrations and it’s achievable as a first ‘read on your own’ chapter book. We read these as a family because it’s fun to end the day with a good laugh together - now my 7 year old is re-reading them on his own!
