The color is muted as it comes out of the bottle - sort of a mid grayish with a hint of dark purple but not horrifically so. The fragrance is not overwhelming, but fresh and pleasant. It lathered up fantastically - I love to lather my hair and usually it takes half a bottle to be able to do that - not this shampoo......just a regular amount and I was able to really feel like I had washed my hair. It rinsed out well and left my wet hair very smooth and feeling lovely and clean. All in all - I am a huge fan and so very happy that at last, I can wash my hair without worrying about purple/blue undertones.

Purple Shampoo
I bought this as a recommendation from my hair dresser. It doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy or dried out like store bought brands. It has a nice lather.

Banish the Brass
Where I live the sun is brutal on blond, silver or white hair causing it to get that yukky brassy yellow. This shampoo keeps my silver hair shimmery and soft - I love it.

I don’t see any difference in color or texture of my hair between this and any other purple shampoo I have used. Was hoping it would tone down the yellow, but it has not

Tones the brassiness, blends the rest
This is the best shampoo yet. Lathers with a bit of purple. But it also does so much more. It gives the appearance of blending the blonde grownup and makes the hair luxuriously non frizzy. Will try other products by them.

affordable and works well
Previously used a high end expensive shampoo made my hair flat as it was too hydrating for fine hair. The hydration in this product seems just right. Have more volume.

This shampoo smells nice. A light scent. I use it daily and it doesn't turn my grey hair blue or purple. My hair feels soft too.
