Really easy to install and works well to keep kids safe. Even when kids tug on the handle it stays secure.

We purchased these oven door locks as a precaution for our grandchildren. They are easy to install and keep the kids from pulling the oven door open. The kit provides several adhesive stickers. Cleaning the surface is a vital first step, otheriwse the adhesive might not stick as well. They are simple to operate with one hand and don't interfere with the stove's operation in any way. The only caveat: Our stove is an industrial stove, and the edges near the oven door become quite hot. This does affect the adhesive, so be sure to check for the best place to place the lock. If it gets too hot, you might need a different design because high heat can cause the adhesive to loosen.

Quailty seems to be good and durable, few days in and no issues. Toddler cannot unlock it easily so safety is good, I suggest that you wipe the mounting area down with alcohol (as you should do with any mounting tape).

Now that my granddaughter has started to walk and pull on things, it's time for more child proofing. This oven door lock is effective at keeping children out, easy to install, and simple to operate. People mentioned it melting but this has not happened as yet. Very pleased so far with the product.

Works great to keep my kiddo out of the bottom drawer of the oven! I was skeptical about the strength of the adhesive when pulled on but stayed sturdy and durable even when I pulled on it myself. Easily remove adhesive sticker and stick to the front of the oven. Took 2 seconds! Definitely worth adding to our baby proofing purchases.

Good concept, crappy adhesive. It’s not going to fit every oven perfectly either, obviously. For instance, the adhesive part sits a little high on my oven. Because of this, it will collect crumbs, inevitably. The adhesive could be trimmed to fit though, and they do provide a back up adhesive disc. You can buy better adhesive probably, as well, but I’m going off what I’ve got to work with. My 7 yr old is also able to pull the door still, and the lock may actually just come off. Considering the scary situation we have had where my grand baby grabbed the handle of the oven door and tried to hang on the door while we were baking, this would lead me to believe this lock could potentially just be a false sense of security because her weight would likely just pull the entire locking mechanism off and the door would fly right open. So because of that, I give 2 stars.

My 13 month old daughter is curious about getting into everything, as children are, including opening the oven. While she is usually very responsive to our gentle redirections and ‘off limits’ boundary, there are occasions when she grabs and yanks at the oven handle before we notice in time to say anything. Given that this is developmentally appropriate to have limited impulse control, an oven lock is the perfect solution to prevent an accident. I found the lock very easy to install. I wiped down the spot I chose with some cleaning alcohol, pulled the sticker tab off the back, and pressed it against the oven for 60 seconds (no specific amount of time was indicated in the directions, so I figured this was reasonable). The lock is also easy to open and close, simply press the latches on both sides and twist. I also appreciate that the design is probably as unobtrusive as you can get, and it blends in pretty well. I definitely recommend this product and I think it’s quite affordable as well. Update: We have had the lock in place for a couple of months now and we have had no issues with it malfunctioning or coming off. Great reliable product and it has prevented my daughter from opening the oven - working as intended!

Due anni fa ho comprato questa sicurezza per il forno per impedire al mio bambino di farsi male, non ero sicura che avrebbe funzionato ma ci ho provato e a distanza di 2 anni è ancora attaccato al forno!! Ora posso usarlo anche per il mio secondo figlio perché non si è staccato per niente, anzi è rimasto saldo nonostanza il mio primo figlio, di quasi 3 anni, va allo sportello e lo apre con forza per vedere se si stacca.

Bought this to stop my son from opening the oven door, since he likes to bang on it pretty hard. I was skeptical at first because it only sticks on with 3M tape, but I’m honestly impressed — it holds like crazy. It’s easy for adults to open and close, but secure enough that my kid can’t pull it loose. Just make sure your oven has enough flat space to stick it properly. I have an AEG oven and it fits perfectly. Does exactly what I needed — definitely recommended for parents with curious little ones!
