I do a lot of writing at my job and since I use a lot of pressure to hold my pen I always end up with a callus. These grippers are comfortable. They were pretty easy to slide into my pen, although you can also rub a tiny bit of lotion on your pen like someone else mentioned here and it does in fact slide right through, just in case. If you’re right handed you place your right thumb on the R and for lefties on the L.

As a university student i hand-write quite a lot. Sometimes I end up writing seven pages in just 45 minutes. During the past years I have developed a very intense pain on my hand when writing. I tried everything, changing my hand position when typing, changing of pencils, I even tried to type with my other hand (which I most recognize was a total failure). I also recall buying pencils worth $6.00 each that claimed a fast and smooth writing. However reality was that nothing worked until I tried this Grips. The price might sound a bit high at first, however it is worth it. My experience with them is great. Feel: The grips have a very soft and smooth feel. They are made of a nice polymer that feels like gel, yet they are very resistant. Precisely that feel will help you reduce a lot the pressure you make to the pencil and I'm sure that contributes to reducing the pain in your hands. Speed: Comparing how I write with this grips and the speed I had before I can tel i type like two times faster than before and without pain. Position: This grips comes with the correct position to hold your pencil. Hence without even noticing you are holding your pencil with a correct position, another factor that will contribute to your overall performance when typing. Resistance: As I mentioned this grips are very resistant. I still don't see a scratch on them. Even if I always use the same pencil the grip looks just as new. Overall: I love this grips. They reduced the pain I had when typing by a very considerable amount. They made me type faster and better. I definitively recommend this product to anyone with any condition in their hands and to anyone who is looking to improve the position in which they hold the pencil or pen. Note: It works perfectly on my mechanical pencil, my pens, and even my common #2 pencils.

I brought one of these pencil grips to my office along with Ticonderoga brand #2 pencils, to experiment with using it and a pencil for some of my technical writing work. I use the pencil grip and pencil primarily to help me underline and otherwise highlight lines of text which are in a very small font size. I believe the pencil grip helps me draw more comfortably, and also draw simple boxes and lines more precisely. (I am not a trained artist or illustrator.) My fingers are rather small in diameter for a man. I feel I get a good grip on the pencil using this Pencil Grip device. I like the feeling of the material. I like the visual "R" or "L" markings that help me feel I am holding the grip in the right way. The grip has a very strong frictional hold on the pencil, and I feel more confident in doing my simple drawing activities. The grip slides on a standard #2 pencil and holds it tightly. It is made to the Ticonderoga outer pencil sizing, so if you have a pencil which is larger or smaller in diameter, it simply won't fit. I don't know if it can be "resized" using a sharp knife to carve material out of the bore of the pencil grip. I also like the different colors of the pencil grips. They are cheery, and it is easy to spot my pencil provided I don't toss papers on top of it. I am not sure if pencil diameters vary a lot, but one improvement I'd suggest for this product is that it be able to work with mechanical pencils of either metal or plastic construction. I think these pencil grips are extremely useful if you work in pencil -- at least for the very basic activities I do. (I can't draw even stick people, but my "smiley faces" see acceptable.)

Quality product but I wouldn’t buy them in retrospect. It’s a useless product. It didn’t help my kids. Their fingers are too small and this product is too big. Manes writing more difficult

I’m an occupational therapist and this is one of my favourite pencil grips. Most kids I work with like these because they are soft to use and they love the bright colours. The range of colours is excellent in the pack and there’s at least one colour to satisfies each child. These also have enough stretch in them to fit a regular size pencil but also over a larger kindergarten sized pencil. The design of this grip enables correct placement of the index and middle fingers and thumb. The thumb position is marked for a left or right handed. The size of this grip works well for children who like to thumb wrap. It makes is harder to do that and keeps the fingers in a more mature position.

I love these to put on crochet hooks to make them more comfy to hold for a long time. They are squishy and feel great. Note that the glitter ones are larger and softer than the solids, and I like the glitter better.
