I've been sampling ghee. Wow. They can be wildly different. This one is currently my very favorite. Love that it is organic, grass fed. To me - it smells exactly like freshly toasted and butter bread. It has a lovely, rich butter flavor. It's way too expensive. But so good. It's fun to experiment cooking with Ghee which is butter that has had the milk solids removed. You could make your own. Probably more economical. But I love this brand. Also, it's a glass jar! No plastic. I say it's worth a try if you're trying ghee! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Something you don't want to try. Ghee with a slightly toasty flavor and color to match. Evenly thick with a faintly grainy texture and a promise that you'll be in the Spring Sunrise 12-Step Ghee program if you click Purchase. Yep, pretty delicious. Pair this with something pleasantly bland like porridge or oatmeal, where the ghee will shine unopposed, and you're probably done-for. Now, addictions aren't always bad things, but they ARE expensive. Ghee, haughty Indian butter goddess that she is, does not care for the whinings of mortal budgets. And this is no exception. But it is good stuff. So, you might find it worth it as a monthly tithe. Sunrise did a great job on this, but don't say I didn't warn you from the 12-Step meeting.

I love this ghee! I am lactose intolerant. Easy on the gut. Not watery like some ghee I have received. Good flavor!

I only use ghee in my coffee to avoid lactose. It’s the only dairy I can’t & don’t want to kick. Usually I don’t have phlegm but with this product I do. And because of the rich creamy flavor & texture, I question how long they actually cooked this for. Seems like they may have short-cut the process to get a certain flavor, texture. When I make my own ghee, it’s a long tedious process but the result does not elicit phlegm and the taste is terrifically carmelized. But not quite this creamy. Therefore, even though the flavor is delicious, I’ll use it only for cooking and will purchase a different one next time. IMO, 4th & Heart is better and Ancient Nutrition is the best but more expensive. If you’re only looking for a high smoke-point ghee then it’s good. But if you’re also trying to avoid the phlegm, then I can’t recommend it.

This organic ghee is outstanding. I just purchased my 30th jar of it and I usually consume a couple jars of it every month. This is the brand of ghee that I recommend to family and friends. I cannot recommend it enough. High quality at an affordable price. Thank you!

When I select my olive oil & Butter ; I am always looking for old traditional flavors. And this butter spread and melted on a toast is what I want in my butter.
