Received the opener. Was pleased with the quality and ease of installation. When it came time to program, the LED programming lights did not work, which complicated it. I was able to set the up down limits and the opener worked great and was very quiet. The LED problem did not allow setup of wireless keypad. I contacted customer service. I received a call back. The representative was helpful, appreciative and her solution solved my problem. Some tips for the install. 1. Cut the threads for the back up battery before installation and replace self tapping screw with hex or torx head machine screws. 2. Installing fork connectors on photo sensor wires will make job much easier 3. Placing a mirror on top of your ladder makes viewing the LED programming lights much easier.

Okay not everything. It didn’t have a built in camera but reality sank in that I already had a garage camera so why did I need another camera? I moved in to a new house and the Craftsman opener sensors were not working reliably and I only had one opener. My last Opener at my previous residence was the Ryobi GDO. Loved it because it had all kinds of attachments that were truly useful. Didn’t care for the app because sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. I was convinced I was going to buy a Chamberlain and found one with everything though it was a bit pricey but there were some little things I didn’t like after reading other’s review about the sensor design and other things. So I looked at Genie. The sensors are well designed. Solid actually, better than any I have ever had historically. The app works really well. The opener is super quiet. It took several days of greasing the garage door rollers (not related to the opener) so I could notice how quiet it actually was. The install was super simple and straightforward but most garage door openers are pretty easy to install, I’ve personally installed maybe 8-10 openers in my life. But they make it simpler (which I didn’t notice) by color coding the parts bags to the installation steps. Nice touch if you never installed a opener before as some parts can look similar. I installed LED bulbs and the backup battery option it came with was pretty easy to install. I really wanted a backup battery. It was an important requirement for me as it has come in handy several times in the past. The motor is plenty strong and the belt drive super quiet. It connected to my wifi very easily. I don’t use the remotes or the keypad because of Homelink and the phone app. I do like the big glowing (red) wall mount button as it’s difficult to miss or accidentally hit a different button. Simple is always better. Did I mention how solid the sensors are? With 4 kids and a dog, solid is good.

Great replacement for our previous garage door operator. It’s really quiet and the app is a huge bonus that I didn’t know I needed. I like that I can automatically have it close at night, or really any setting that I want. I also can check to make sure it’s closed while away from home. That said, it’s easy to setup but not so easy to install. In going a YouTube video that helped a lot with install but found the directions themselves to be a little less clear (might be just my learning style). I’d recommend setting aside most of a day if you’ve never done this before, or hire someone who can.

I bought 2 of these Genie StealthDrive 7155 motors. I brought them used to save cost because they were as good as new! One of the boxes came with a bent and broken door sensor, so, I reached out to Amazon for replacement parts. While Amazon gave me a discount after purchase, I was told to contact Genie Customer Service directly. Which I did. They said that the invoice from Amazon said that this was "Used" therefore there is no warranty on it therefore the broken parts cannot be replaced. I need to buy it. On their website the part was $45 where as on Amazon it was $20. Other than this, both the openers work great and Homelink works great with 2018 Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y with a Homelink hardware add-on. The Aladdin app, though non-intuitive, works! I was able to integrate it with Google Home. Its WiFi connectivity or changing over to another WiFi is pretty functionally easy. The motor is pretty silent and the belt seems to be durable. Wired connections and Programming was easy without any hiccups. The only other issue is that when using the wireless keypad, there is a 5 second lag for the connection to drop/refresh before keying in again to either open / close the door. In other words, if you keyed the pin and opened the door, within those 5 seconds, you can interrupt opening the door or close it or open it after its been fully open or shut. It needs 5-7 seconds to drop the connection before you need to key in again before using the pad again.

Quick recap of features - very quiet, lots of options (wall control, mobile app, Alexa compatible) all of which work great! Highly recommend this item. We bought this to replace an old (28 years) chain drive genie garage door opener. The reason I include that information is to say that if you already have a genie and some of the parts installed (safety laser, for example), IT IS NOT NECESSARY to install everything from this device (unless you want everything new of course). The instructions overall are good, nicely color coded along with the packages of parts so that you make sure you are installing the right stuff. DON'T open all the bags and mix up the pieces because you will defeat the purpose of the organized instructions. You should be aware that multiple people wrote the instructions, meaning some are easier to follow than others. Trust me - I write procedures for a living. If you are reading some of the negative reviews about how difficult it was to connect wirelessly, or how impossible it is to reach customer service, keep reading! It took us about 8 hours of messing around with the various wireless settings to get this to connect reliably to our home internet. We would get it connected through the app, then after trying to control the door (open or close one time), we got a message saying "unable to determine status," so the back end didn't know whether the door was opened or closed. We had to control through the wall button to close it. Then we would delete the app, reconnect to home internet, and then had the same result. I called Genie customer service first thing on a Monday morning - I was able to get through right away. No waiting on hold for hours as some reviews claim. I spoke to a friendly and helpful person who did as much as she could to help me. I tried her troubleshooting steps (including resetting some of the software on the opener itself using the gray button) with my husband that afternoon, but still couldn't get the connectivity stable. I called customer service back the next day (again, no waiting) and received some additional troubleshooting steps, which were still unsuccessful. I determined that the problem had to be my home internet. THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO READ, SO PAY ATTENTION! We have both a router and a wireless access point. We had the same connectivity issues, whether connected to the router or the WAP. It turns out, BOTH devices needed to have the FIRMWARE upgraded. (If you are unaware, firmware is what makes peripherals run. Sometimes there are new versions released which are necessary to align with related technologies or to fix bugs). Both our router and WAP had new firmware to solve bug fixes which included unexpected connectivity issues. SO after updating the firmware on both devices, I reconnected the Genie garage door opener through the mobile app and VOILA! problem solved. We personally own our router and WAP - so I had to work through the manufacturers website instructions to update the firmware. If you have equipment provided by your ISP, you should call to ask how to upgrade the firmware, then attempt the wireless connection to the Genie before blaming this product and sending it back. I hope this was helpful!

This is a high quality product and has ultra quiet operation. If you are purchasing this as a replacement, there are less installation steps to perform than for a greenfield installation. I didn't install the code switch on the outside of my garage as the procedure to reset the code is printed on the device.. I'm originally from New York and still have big city paranoia .. LOL Secret feature in this device - there is a proximity sensor in the garage door opener that turn on the light under the following conditions. - The garage door is open for a few minutes - The light goes off. *when you re-enter the garage, it senses your presence and the light turns on. Bonus feature to the many cool features this Genie 7155 has.. BTW - it is ULTRA quiet during operation. Just make sure that you get you garage door balanced to reduce wear on the opener. Excellent buy! -

I am amending this review after a saga of trying to get Genie to honor a warranty. I have spend hours waiting on the phone and chatting. They won't honor the warranty unless I can get Amazon to show on the invoice that it's new, even though I bought it from Amazon's Genie Store. Amazon doesn't know the condition, of course, and how many items actually print "new" on the invoice? I spent a long time chatting with Amazon, but I understand why they don't have this info. I just had to do this as Genie insisted. Check out online reviews of Genie and you'll find Genie will do anything to get out of warranty work. ---- I bought two units, and they worked well for a month. Now the lights on one won't turn off. I hear a click from the relay, but the lights stay on. I did some reading and found others with the same issue. This is going to be a real pain to take it down for the warranty work. I didn't install it myself. The installer complained it took him twice as long to install it as most openers, but I don't know why. Maybe it's harder, or maybe he wasn't as familiar with it, although that is his primary job. The openers work fine and are quiet. I found the app easy to set up, and the features are really good, especially for scheduling. It is lacking the ability to turn off the lights, which is a big miss. Another issue is the automatic close. I have the doors close after being open for 15 minutes, but that time should reset if someone crosses the light beam as that indicates people are going in and out. That doesn't matter, only the 15 minute timer, but it's easy to disable that, at least. It was a pain getting the opener to sync with my Subaru Outback 2016. I could only get one door synced, which was all I really cared about. I'm not sure what exactly got the sync working, but I spent over an hour working on it. I don't know if what made it tough was the opener or the Subaru or the combination of the two.

As a 53 year old single woman I was dreading the replacement of my current garage door opener. Needless to say with the purchase price of a new opener, I didn’t have the extra funds to pay someone to do it for me. I will say that the step by step instructions were clear, bags of fasteners were clearly labeled and indicated for use within the installation poster included in box. I also had the advantage of pre-existing wiring, for which I was entirely grateful. From opening the box to final programming for use took me about 5 hours. I feel this could have been quicker with two people and a better variety of tools on my end. I had no problems setting up the opener, remotes, or exterior keypad which I had seen complaints of in a couple other reviews, instructions were clear and easy to follow. I did run into a hiccup with my existing supports and this new openers power cord not being long enough. I rigged it for use for the couple of days needed to get the proper items shipped to me, finishing and finalizing took about another hour to complete. I never did download the app, I am quite content to just use my remote and keypad. I’m very excited that this opener has a battery backup and will keep me from manually opening the garage door in case of power outages. Coming from a 1/2 power chain drive, to this 3/4 belt drive, I’m in awe of its quiet performance. I have another one in a detached garage that I know will go at some point and I won’t hesitate to purchase a second one of these.

After many years of getting out of the car to open and close the garage manually I’ve decided to install the Genie Stealth garage door opener. Honestly, best money ever spent! I have a double garage wood door that is quite heavy so I decided to go with the stealth and it 1 1/4 hp. My ceilings are quite low and the clearance was literally millimeters for clearance. The install was quite easy and took approximately 2 hours to complete. The instructions on the BILT app was super helpful! Setting the travel limits and programming keypad/remotes was a breeze. Backup battery works well. Also, the Aladdin Connect app is easy to use and works great. I didn’t bother investing in the Genie “quiet light bulbs” and threw in the rough service incandescent bulbs from the dollar store. My only complaint with the unit was the wiring provided….they could have made the black wire a little more easier to identify. Anyhow, I’m just happy that my garage door works great and super quiet!! I’m hoping to have many years of good service with this unit and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a more powerful lift at a decent price.

Es un producto bastante bueno, genial el tema de la ALDDIN, la app por celular. el único inconveniente fue que no se consiguen las extensiones del riel ya que mi portón necesitaba más apertura, sin embargo se pudo adecuar con un buen herrero otro, aun que causo más costo pero buen producto.

Very quiet working. Installation very easy, bat connection for car very difficult. Only YouTube help me fully program. On the cellphone install program: "BILT" for installation. I Recommended this program for installation. Original manual it is a bull sheet.
