Zippity Baskenridge Picket Gate, White Vinyl DIY No Dig Kit

This is a cute fencing. it was easy to put together. Not the sturdiest to use for a full yard, but it worked for us. Used it for keeping our dogs away from the above ground pool heater and pump on one side of the pool.

I bought this to retrofit into an existing porch to keep the dogs from walking away and not to be used with their fencing. It’s well made pvc and it’s a very clever design which is easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. I’m happy with the purchase overall but I can’t give it 5 stars because of the hardware they provide. The hinge is so small and thin there’s no way it’s going to hold up to frequent use. I already purchased replacement hardware to switch out. They came so close to a 5 star review but I can’t with this flimsy hardware they provide.

We live on a busy street. Our two dogs got out the gate as I was leaving the yard and one was injured. ( She recovered after some expensive surgery). I want to put in a second layer of defense, but also need a removable fence so I could take it out when we needed to get something in the house, especially to the finished basement. I was able to make this fence system work. I did give this an average rating when it comes to being sturdy. This fence works perfectly because our is light weight. However this more for looks then sturdiness. Works beautifully for my situation. Bigger dogs could tear it up but our small dogs respect it.

Mostly easy to assemble missing some small parts got one hinge and two parts for latch. Emailed company and waiting for parts. The one hinge is really small and light, have to see how it lasts. For nearly $100 the parts should be robust enough to last but I guess it’s still Covid pricing.

Easy to assemble, very flimsy to install. Low grade material. If you need a real fence this is not the product for you. Wish I can return. Looks great, but not long lasting. All depends what kind of fence you need. Wish it was more sturdy, I will have to take down and put up a different fence.

This thing is a joke...the hinges and locking hardware is pathetic. The posts for this thing are so weak they sway very easy.....I ended up going to the hardware store, buying better hinges and latch, and buying a solid wood post with vinyl sleeve...this stuff is ok as a fence but as a gate that you are going to use....not so much...too cheap and too flimsy.

Needed an item to enclose my porch due to a "runaway" dog that would see any opportunity of freedom when the door would open. This has worked great so far. I am sort of an OCDer, so I had to make sure. The fence was level all the time. The posts are cemented in for stability, and ordered end posts to attach to the house. The gate, I ordered a different latch and a spring to help it self close. People have commented that it actually makes the house look more like a little cottage now with a little "white picket fence". But my concern was my 7.5 pound malshi getting loose. So, I feel much more comfortable.

I bought the fence panels that go with this gate. They are described as a semi-permanent fence, made of vinyl, which means it’s not as sturdy. So I knew it wouldn’t be solid and was okay with that for what I needed. The sliding latch on this gate is a joke. I bought another self-locking latch and put it on. I’m not sure how the hinges will hold up as they are small but those can always be replaced too. The fence panels and this gate must be assembled and come in surprisingly small boxes. Assembling them takes several minutes each but is straightforward and easier as it goes. Get an earth auger bit to attach to your cordless drill to put some holes in the ground which will make it easier. I am happy with it. These are solid enough for what I needed.

I do like this gate. It looks really nice and does it's job for the most part. It had slight damage but I didn't want to send it back. So the compromise was a partial refund! I did find the hinges and latch werent very good. The hinges were different from the picture and the latch is only good at the top. We replaced the hinges and plan on adding another latch at the bottom.

These are so easy to install and put together. Very happy with them. Seem to handle the cold weather so far but we haven’t hit -40 yet. Looks nice installed and it keeps our dogs contained

This product does not match the quality of the fence material. It is very lightweight and flimsy, and the sliding latch on it is a joke. Do not buy this gate. Expensive and garbage
