The product adheres well to wood hardener and solid wood. It dries hard and takes paint well. I am repairing my porch that had some rotten wood, and I am very pleased with this product.

This Platinum patch works wonderfully. Easy to apply. Dries well and reasonable quickly. Can sand easily. Paint applied adheres well. Would definitely buy again.

This item is great for creating form for your wood needs such as the door jamb , building it back up or building up molding that has been cut for other uses. It's pliable and stays where you put it dries beautifully paints beautifully.

We had two pretty large chunks of our basement exterior wall facade come off from all the snow/ice we had in NYC. I bought this stuff and it worked like a charm. Used it on cracks we had too. So easy to use. Made no mess at all. I wish I would've taken before and after photos. Perfect size to work with too.

I love this stuff. It goes on easily and dries quickly. I have had success using it as a skim coat to kill the grain on wooden doors and also as a filler for larger holes and cracks. Once it dries, it's hard and water resistant. This is important because after the skim coat is dry, I want to give it a fine sand and use a damp cloth to remove the dust. Some patch compounds are water soluble, which makes the damp cloth a bit of a problem. I have not experienced shrinkage. However, for nail holes and cracks, I wait about five or ten minutes after I apply it and sand it smooth. If I wait too long, it gets much harder and is more difficult to sand.

This stuff used to be call "Platinum" something or other. Don't know why the change but it works essentially the same. This is great stuff when used per directions. It is just one of the products I use when restoring or repairing wood around the exterior of my house. It dries fast and holds up. BUT WARE A MASK WHEN SANDING. It warns of the consequences of breathing the dust that contains silica. It also lasts pretty well when storing. But pick the right size for the job.
